Summary
The worst parts of town can harbor the best kinds of people, a belief that comes with a lot of experience behind it. However, there are still questionable people no matter where you go. The streets of the red light district prove this more than any. Roads are broken and dingy, lined with rusted, shitty cars that are contrasted by luxury vehicles paid for with blood money or drugs. Neon alleyways and signs light the way, bathing passers by in pinks, blues, and reds to point them in the direction of places where they can lose themselves. Brothels, clubs, drug fronts in the form of restaurants, theatres, you name it and you can more than likely find it. Avera sidestepped a few questionable puddles to save his expensive shoes as he made his way out of a tight alley, straightening his fitted black suit jacket and brushing his messy black hair out of his face.

Summary
Sin Eaters. A name coined for those who ate the sins of the deceased by dining over their bodies, assuming responsibility for their faults in life. It was a joke where he was from. Within the Under, things don't really have names. Not it's citizens, not their prey, not whatever it is they are. Those, the Under Citizens, exist for one reason only: To eat and to survive. He never intended to be back on the human plane. It had gotten too risky with the churches deeming his kind "demons" and trying - succeeding, even - to kill his brethren. But greed and hunger are powerful voices to ignore. When he answers a summons, promising sins upon which to feast and a safe place to hide as he ate, he finds himself in dire straights. Broken, starving, bleeding, he can only try to survive long enough to reach the Under again. An impromptu deal with a frightened woman may derail him further, but it may also save them both in the process.

This will be the final part of the series. The Warrior of Light and Darkness has allowed herself to be whisked away to an unknown location by the Ascian, Emet-Selch. She's struggled with her feelings about and for him. Can she trust him? Does she even want to?
The end of chapter one will present the reader with two options, which will eventually be links pointing to the appropriate chapters. I was going to wait until both paths were written before posting this, but I am a slow writer, and I wanted to keep the series going.
Either way, get ready for strange and angsty smut, as that was always the goal here, other than exploring the phenomenal character that SE gave us with Emet-Selch. Fair warning- even the "good" ending would be a "game over" - for the world may grow dark and cold should Persephone stay with her Hades.
