Mel crossed her arms, eyes narrowed. As much as she wanted to see how many breakables in her office she was willing to sacrifice to her cause, she knew better than to push the matter further.
She was stubborn. But Sentry? That was a can of worms she wasn't willing to open. She had errands to run.
"Fine," she relented, her hard stare not wavering in the slightest, "Just don't get in my way. Got that, Golden Boy?"
Sentry laughed. She was telling him what to do?
"No promises"

All of it while also working a full time job at a cat cafe. When arrested by the New Avengers and given the choice between prison time or joining the team, they join the team. They think it’ll be full of the self-righteous assholery of everyone else in power, but as they get closer to the team, they realize that everyone is just as trapped as them.
When a new villain makes an appearance to try and kidnap Reader for reasons they won’t detail, the team has to worry about the safety of their two most unstable members and prevent them from falling into manipulative hands (besides Valentina, of course).
What happens when Reader is kidnapped by this villain? What lengths are the team, and especially Bob, willing to go to to get them back?
