(AU) One minute, Sunny is lying in his hospital bed after his encounter with Basil. In the next, he's falling to his death, unaware as to why. The only thing he saw before he died was Omori, staring him down with a demonic smile on his face from above. Sunny thought that he was going to die alone, and that it was all over. Little did he know, it had only just begun.

No. He won’t continue with that train of thought. Even if those types of thoughts linger, his mother told him not to hurt himself, and she is the only one he actually really interacts with these days anyways. She is his mother, and he should heed her word, even if sometimes her word results in sore ribs or violet bruises. Her love is painful, maybe, but that’s the cost of loving someone like him, and so he takes it all with open arms.
or, Sunny's life since the move has been... strange. His mother loves him the best she can. Or at least he thinks she does, until new conversations with his old friends may prove otherwise.

After Sunny's meltdown, Hero is torn on what to do about the situation but ultimately decides that he isn't fully equipped to handle the situation himself. He doesn't want to make things worse for either of the siblings, so the most he can do is give Sunny a break for the day, take care of him as best as he can, and then get him home. After all, Mari has to be worried, right? Hopefully, the two of them can work things out on their own.

OMORI would’ve let this happen, had it been any other day. But nothing could delay this, so he snapped his fingers, and in one moment they all fell into line behind him. He hated having to do this, he preferred they act on their own, it made them closer to humans, but he was short on time. His eyes dusted the area around him, giving silent goodbyes to the room and its many memories. He went to the stairs, and forced his head down. If he looked up, he might not follow through with this. He watched the beautiful rainbow on the stairs one last time before continuing. The last piece of headspace he saw was the blinding light of the doorway.'
In which; Sunny failed to defeat OMORI, but when he tried jumping off the roof, he saved himself by a slim chance.
