Summary
Brian never wanted to be apart of the superhero life, so he settled into a peaceful life at Harry's garage instead, hiding his powers from the world - because everyone knows how healers are treated by the so-called heroes. So Brian hides away, intending to use his healing only in emergencies.
But desperate times call for desperate measures, and when he stumbles across an injured member of the most vicious villain team in LA, he has to make a decision.
And Brian was never good at making the best decisions for himself.

"Headquarters, this is 2-Adam-12. I just got free. What do you have for me?"
"O'Conner, we actually have something. It's about alleged illegal activities. Go there and check it out."
"Okay, headquarters, address?"
"1327 East Kensington Road, Echo Park"
Then you could hear Brian exhaling heavily.
"Yeah, no, I changed my mind..."
"What's wrong, O'Conner?"
"Just a direct route to hell."
The garage shook with laughter.

Summary
Los Angeles – the city of angels, fast cars and tough cops. And in the middle of it all: Brian O’Conner.
He was still a police officer. Tanner was still his superior. And Dominic Toretto and his team? They weren’t the truck robbers they were thought to be. Brian had told them the truth, had revealed himself to them. And instead of rejecting him, they had taken him in.
Now he was leading a double life: during the day he was still a cop, albeit one of the most sarcastic the LAPD had ever seen. But at night? He was part of the family – Toretto’s crew, a circle of racers, mechanics and adrenaline junkies who knew the streets just as well as he did.
And what he didn’t know: this family was listening to him damn closely.

Summary
The static of a police scanner was a normal sound that filled the silence in DT's garage each day. There had once been music that blasted through the speakers, but when Officer Brian O' Conner finally found his way home, Jessie rigged the scanner to the speakers instead.
"You don't need any backup there do you O' Conner?" Another cop had asked with a chuckle.
"Shut it Jameson, you probably couldn't figure out how to release the parking brake to be available for backup."
"On second thought, Jameson I could use some backup, these moms are getting handsy." He said in a quiet voice.

Brian's big challenge today was supposed to be not breaking Vince's nose while helping Mia pick up stuff for a garden project. That was it. Nice and simple.
He sure wasn't expecting to see his dad.

Summary
But the thing is, nothing ever happens they way it’s supposed to.
Or, the one where Brian is still a lone wolf, Dom still wants to keep him, and everything’s exactly like you’d expect.
A different take on The Fast and the Furious, where-- political correctness disallows the word werewolf-- lycanthropic individuals are known, discriminated against and don’t always end up bad. Right?
Let’s be honest, this is just another tFatF AU. I wrote this for my own amusement, but maybe somebody else will enjoy it, too.

Summary
“Fine,” Dom sighs, the weight of concession evident in his voice. Brian silently relishes in his victory, but the satisfaction is short-lived as the larger man is quick to backtrack. “But you’re to keep in contact with one of us.”
Brian’s eyebrows shoot up, a reflexive response to the unexpected condition. Gears turning in his head, he contemplates the implications of this new demand. Leaning back against the kitchen island, arms crossed, he flits his gaze between both siblings. “You know I can’t do that; it’s against the law.”
“Fuck the law.”
“Dom!” Mia berates, smacking her brother’s muscular arm.
Or: Brian goes undercover for a special op. Things don't go as planned.

God, there was so much blood.
There shouldn’t have been that much blood.
Brian found himself chuckling, the sound getting stuck in his throat as blood gurgled up in it, threatening to choke him.
It would choke him, he realized.
If the blood loss didn’t kill him, which it very well could, then he’d drown in what little was left.
God, he was going to die here.

Summary
Undercover Police Officer Brian O’Conner was an oddity among UC operatives.
And for a simple, but also complex reason:
The best UCs were rootless.
They had no ties, no responsibilities or connections outside of their work to bog them down or trouble their minds during an operation.
The best UCs could let everything else go and sink into their roles for however long was required to take down their targets.
Of course, this also had a side-effect of risking the best UCs to going “native” or sinking so far into their roles that they turn from excellent officers of the law into the most frustrating criminals to catch as they end up creating the bonds that they lack outside of the job with the same targets they’re supposed to be spying on and gathering evidence to lock away.
Brian O’Conner was an oddity in that not only was he one of the best UCs in the Los Angeles Police Department’s stable of officers, but he also had not only ties to life outside his work but potentially the strongest ones around:
Brian O’Conner was soulmarked.
And not merely once but five times. -

Summary
Slowing now, and motioning for Jesse to stay back and keep low, Vince started sidling around the side of the house, following sounds of muffled moving, a few thumps.
If the Buster was over here fucking shit up for fun or to let off steam, he was gonna kick him square in his ass. Maybe the balls too, for good measure.
But no, squatting down in the overgrown grass so he could see down into the daylight basement, that wasn’t what the Buster was doing.
What he was doing was getting slammed back into a concrete wall so his head cracked against it, a real official looking guy in a suit shouting in the kid’s face. This time when Vince told Jesse what to do there was no protest, his wiry legs eating up the ground as he ran for home and Dom.

Summary
"It was coming back now, in small, fractured increments. He got flashes of himself, lying on the oil-stained pavement outside of DT Precision, in shock, eyes wide, mouth agape, hand reaching down, down, down to only come up red, red, red. He remembers not realizing, at first, what the red meant; he’d been shot."
OR
Brian doesn't have much time. Never had, really, before, much time to say anything, between the need for self-preservation in his childhood and then his job, where he spent probably too much time undercover.
Now, though, with the life draining out of him, on the run with the crew he’d just betrayed, shot by someone he should have been able to trust, time has never seemed more crucial.
Too bad he wasn't going to live to see another day. He still has a lot to say.
