Summary
After Arthur disobeyed his father and retrieved the Mortaeus flower for Merlin's cure, Arthur's frantic pleading to save Merlin led to a misunderstanding that actually convinced Uther to take the flower to Gaius.
Now all Arthur has to do is explain to Merlin why Uther thinks they are lovers.
And while Uther is supportive of the relationship, he requires it kept secret. But in his paranoia, Uther misinterprets every innocent interaction between the two as something far more intimate, to the embarrassment of everyone involved.
And then the knights begin showing up...
Update 27/04/2024: This is long and in-process. So consider a break between story arcs!
Arc 1 - (chapters 1-32, 90k words) What happens when you accidentally tell your father you're gay and in love with Merlin and he ships it hard? You make it true.
Arc 2 - (chapters 33-70, 110k words) What happens when your father sends you to court someone you have no interest in? Side quests and Gwaine.
Arc 3 - (chapters 71+, in progress) What happens when your father invites every eligible woman to Camelot so you can find your wife like you promised in exchange for saving Merlin? Chaos. -

Summary
Arthur, Morgana, and Gwen had no idea what they were involving themselves in by volunteering to defend Ealdor—and Ealdor wasn’t ready for them either. Squashed between the Ridge of Ascetir and the White Mountains, Ealdor was offered unique protection from authority coming from either Camelot or Cenred’s kingdom. In other words, magic was used with an unusual degree of freedom, and it would surely be used while they were there.
Canon divergence of ep. 1x10 The Moment of Truth, imagining that magic is actually very commonplace is Ealdor. This fact causes Merlin some stress on the trip from Camelot to Ealdor with Arthur, Morgana, Gwen and his mother, and he must find a way to warn his friends of the magic they will see, no matter the outcome.

Summary
It was two hundred years after Arthur's death, and Merlin was desperate, so he plunged into the lake of Avalon.
Of course he is not dead, and he returns to Ealdor's cabin, where Arthur is waiting for his confession. Truth and reality, past and future, threads of fate vibrate as their stories rewrite the pages.
There is one thing in the world more obscure than the deepest shadow, more glaring than the brightest sun - we call it destiny. -

Summary
1) I saw Merlin few years ago and I thought: “Good but not gay enough and Arthur sometimes behaves as abusive prat. I need to fix this.” And that’s how this work has been born.
2) I wrote this work based on the script which is rewritten to fit my new plot. I don’t know who posted the original script but you have my deepest thanks. I also changed Arthur a little bit because the original version is just too harsh sometimes and Merlin deserves much better. So I erased the cruelty part and left only two idiots in love. -

Summary

Summary
Hunith watched the two young men for a moment, her expression softening as she took in the easy camaraderie between them. It was clear that Merlin had found more than just a prince to serve in Arthur. He had found a friend, a companion; something that she knew was incredibly rare for someone in his position.

Summary
Arthur was used to being trotted out by Uther as Camelot’s shiny, young ambassador. Though he didn’t care much for Cenred, he certainly wasn’t afraid of him. No, it wasn’t Essetir that bred knots in his stomach.
For reasons that Arthur did not yet understand, it was the humble village of Ealdor that loomed specterlike over the journey ahead.
When a diplomatic visit to Cenred's kingdom takes Arthur and Merlin through Ealdor, Arthur must confront a secret he has kept from himself since Merlin arrived in Camelot.

Summary
Merlin tried again, “I trust Arthur with my life.” Will couldn’t believe it. With his life? He couldn’t bear the thought! What happened to the days of their childhood, mocking the crown for its unseriousness? What changed so drastically that Merlin— smart-mouth who got himself in trouble as much as Will did, never one to know when to stop— was suddenly a devotee to the monarchy? What could be so important about the prince that–

Yes, he’s doing magic in front of the Crown Prince of Camelot, yes, he is probably going to die, but call that useless, Arthur.
Merlin reveals his magic to save his mother, because she’s his mother and he can’t do anything other than save her. 1x10 The Moment of Truth, but it’s actually, you know, the moment of truth.

Summary
Despite what some might think, it actually happened years ago—the curse, as Arthur’s been calling it, albeit halfheartedly. Because really, it hasn’t been all that bothersome. Honestly, after it happened, after a rogue sorcerer snuck into his chambers to cast a spell on him in his sleep before Arthur ran a sword through him, it took him a while to even recognize that he had it—his new ability.
He already knew he had a propensity to be able to tell when people were being dishonest. One has to, when one is attempting to navigate politics from such a high-ranking position, when one is expected to inherit so much power. Arthur was trained to fight since birth, in all senses of the word, and as he’s slowly come to learn since he’s gained this ability, violence often comes long before a single sword is drawn, like a flash of lightning before the sound of thunder.

Summary
“...I think there’s something wrong with me,” he whispers. “I have an…affliction.”
Merlin’s eyebrows raise, mouth opening and closing all at once. “You—you have an affliction? Have you…been to see Gaius lately?”-
Arthur's turned up in Ealdor, prepared to help the village fight off Kanen and his men, much to Merlin's delight. But there's something about an excursion away from Camelot, away from his knights and guards and Uther, that loosens his tongue around Merlin that first night.
