Summary
Written in second person. You wake up alone in a dark forest (Mirkwood), a cut on your face is the only sign something has happened to you. You don't remember what. You don't even remember your name, but you later find you remember parts of the distant past and people who lived ages ago. You also somehow have a mental link to Sauron and he exploits it to talk to you at times. He knows who you are, or at least he claims he does. Legolas and Aragorn become your closest friends. You join the fellowship of the ring. Will you figure out who you are? Will Sauron manage to tempt you to his side?
This fic has been written off and on over the past few years, there are some discrepancies within it. Sometimes the writing style changes. -

Merry, Pippin and you have been best friends for ages. Something slowly starts to change between you and Merry. You start seeing each other in a different light. -

“What is it Elrond felt important enough to share with you and your pet during our meeting that he did not see fit to share in common tongue with us all?”
All characters & stuff belong to Professor Tolkien. Much of the story you know is the same, just with Aralas alterations and additions.
Italics are when they are speaking Elvish. I didn't have the patience to transcribe.

Summary
Saving the world is overrated, it turns out. As much as you'd like to go home, somehow the fate of Middle Earth has ended up on your shoulders and, no matter how hard you try, you can't seem to outrun destiny.
And if that isn't bad enough, Legolas still seems intent on distracting you, this goddamn place doesn't have deodorant, and the stupid dragon you can't stop dreaming about might be more real than you initially thought.

Summary
You are a young woman Ranger who travels through the wilderness of Middle Earth. You are not very well known, and you plan to keep it that way. There was no need to draw attention to yourself. One day you come across a couple of Hobbits who seem to have gotten themselves into a bit of trouble. Curiosity and chivalry get the better of you and you decide to help them reach Bree and go on your merry way back to isolated traveling. At least, that was the plan before being sucked into a journey across Middle Earth with newfound friends on your way to Mount Doom in order to destroy an evil fiery eyeball named Sauron.
Follows the plot of the movie with slight canon divergence.

Eventually Legolas said quietly, "Men go on."
"Go on where?"
"Beyond the circles of the world," Legolas said. "No one knows where; or at least, the elves do not. All we know is that they go, and they do not return."
Gimli nodded. "They do not come back," he said, and understanding began to dawn.
"No," said Legolas. "No, they do not." Another long, waiting silence fell; again, it was Legolas who broke it, asking very quietly, "Do dwarves?"

While Raylin enjoyed The Lord of the Rings to a certain extent, she was never a die-hard fan. That was the case, until they decided to start reading the books from their school's library. Quickly finding herself absorbed into Tolkien's work once again she fantasizes of being a modern girl on Middle Earth. Not finding herself much different from kids of the early 2000’s, late 2000’s, they move on with her teenage life and continue to enjoy the franchise. Unfortunately, the knowledge of everything she's ever known from the movies and books come to play when one day Raylin wakes up in a world not of her own. For the first time in Raylin's life, waking up led her stranded.
