Summary
For High School teacher Ann Harper, fanfiction is just a way to relieve stress and enjoy the world of Middle-earth. That all changes one day when two particular dwarves are catapulted into her home and her world, leading her to an adventure that she certainly could have imagined, but would have never dreamed possible.

Summary
"What business would a family of halflings have this far east?"
"Hobbits." Thorin said quietly. His father, and future King Under the Mountain, turned around to look at his eldest son. There was a curious light in the blue of his eyes that greatly reminded Thraín of a time long ago; from when he had first married the Lady Frís.
"What?" He asked.
"They're called hobbits, father. The halflings are known to the wizard. Our friend, Tharkûn, appears to be the cause of this mischief and had prompted the Bagginses to move abroad. To satisfy some lost inspiration as I was told."
"The Bagginses! Tell me, who is it that you spoke with, Thorin. Are you also on first-name terms with these visitors from the west?"
Thorin brought his teeth together, he still spoke too much and often, a poor habit that his young nephews were beginning to pick up. His eyes were drawn towards the south-side barracks, where the city of Dale sat in the distance; he allowed his mind to wander to the curly-haired, bright-eyed fellow that had shouted at him earlier.
"Aye... There was an incident, with the son."

Summary
After centuries of enmity and misunderstanding, the fates of Thorin Oakenshield and Thranduil, King of the Woodland Realm, become entwined in ways neither could have foreseen. What begins as resentment—Thorins' deep-seated anger toward Thranduil for not aiding his people when Smaug took Erebor—slowly shifts into something else entirely.
Through battles fought side by side, wounds tended, and unspoken truths revealed, Thorin comes to learn the depth of Thranduil’s burdens, the scars he has hidden, and the impossible patience he has held for over a century. Thranduil, in turn, watches Thorin battle his own demons, the gold sickness, and the weight of his crown.
A promise was made—if Thorin could free himself from his sickness and honour his debts, then Thranduil would hear him. And now, in the wake of war and hardship, with Erebor and Dale rebuilding, they find themselves standing at the precipice of something fragile and undeniable.
With dwarven braids woven by elven hands, whispered words in Khuzdul and Sindarin alike, and an intimacy neither of them ever expected, Thorin and Thranduil must navigate what it means to be bound—not by hatred, but by something far stronger.

Summary
What begins as Ori only intending to share a bed roll with Fíli for warmth one night, eventually turns into the acquaintances becoming curious about each other after, then falling in love over the course of the quest despite others wishing they would just leave each other be.
Meanwhile, Thorin is doing his best to be a good example for his eldest sister-son and not act on the urge to let himself be wrapped around one specific Hobbit Omega's fingers. However, he fails spectacularly.
The rest, as some say, is history.

Summary
Everything was white
The snow around him, chilling his fingers, the sky above him, and rocks that cradled his body-
The ringing in his ears-
The pounding in his skull-
Oh gods what happened?
He groaned, trying to sit up, but even behind the darkness behind his eyelids the world spun. Spun so fast his stomach revolted against such motions even though there was nothing to expel. He tried to think back on how he managed to end up like this. He remembered the ramparts, the approaching enemy of four different armies-
He remembered fighting goblins-
He remembered Azog-
He remembered Bilbo-Series

Summary
It was a secret to anyone outside the Shire that Bungo Baggins wasn't called Bungo when he was born and isn't even a Hobbit. He was actually Frerin who, after the war in Moria, ran away from the others because he couldn't take any more war and suffering, as well as the weight of being Prince of the Dwarves. He was wounded and met Belladonna in the forest and told her his story. Belladonna invited him to come to the Shire and recover. But during his healing at the House of the Baggins Family, Frerin found peace and acceptance, and when the Baggins asked to adopt him, Frerin accepted and became Bungo Baggins. And Frerin fell in love with Belladona and when he proposed, he said that Dwarves only love once and so she was his One. And Belladona accepted his love, and loved him back with all her heart. And they married, he built the house as a courting gift for her. And they had a daughter, Bluebonnet, called Blue because of her blue eyes from the Durin Lineage. And that makes the mission completely different, especially for Fili who discovers that Bluebonnet is her One.

Summary
The reason they compare Hobbits to rabbits is because most of them are rabbits! With the exception of the Took family, which is made up of coyotes, all Hobbits are born with the ears and tail of an animal, and when they grow up they can transform into that animal. And obviously it was a big surprise that when Bilbo Baggins was born, he had the ears and tail of a wolf, at least they thought he was a wolf, and at the age of 6 Bilbo turned into a Warg for the first time. And that changed his life, he lived in the Shire, but he was shunned and feared, and little by little he died of loneliness. Until he saved Thorin from entering the Old Forest, and found out about the quest. Feeling alive again, he embarked on an adventure and found his companion in Thorin.

Summary
After what's felt like a lifetime of danger, heartbreak, and loss, Bilbo Baggins just wants one thing: safety. And maybe a good book.
Bilbo Baggins, a part-time student and full time mess, runs a city café like a pro—but somehow, a socially awkward, mysteriously quiet man pops up behind the espresso machine and completely throws her off her game. He’s shy, precise, and somehow intimidatingly handsome. She’s kind, quirky, and way too good at reading people. Add coffee, chaos, and a few lingering glances, and suddenly the slowest of slow-burn romances is brewing.
Or:
A coffee shop, a new job, and two people carrying far too much history.
Bilbo wants stability. Thorin wants to disappear.
What they find instead is each other — in small kindnesses, awkward silences, and the quiet relief of being seenFeaturing a cool AF Bilbo, awkward AF Thorin, and a wonderful crew of friends.

Summary
The earth opened up around him and swallowed him whole, taking away his consciousness and wrapping around him like a warmed blanket. He fell and finally found peace, finally felt hope for the first time in sixty years. As the last of Yavanna's warm caress fell away, Bilbo could just hear the whisper in the air.
"You will be our salvation, Bilbo Baggins."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This time, he would be prepared.
This time, he would not be the weak line, the liability.
This time, the line of Durin would not fall but thrive.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When the day of Gandalf’s arrival finally comes, Bilbo allows himself to sit down on his bench, puffing on his pipe. He closes his eyes, not even looking up when Gandalf’s shadow falls upon him, relishing the distinct feeling of déjà vu.
He’s finally doing it, finally changing it.
He cannot wait.

Summary
Its hair was dark and familiar– waves of brooding misery broken only by slight gleams of silver. The cold eyes it sported were even darker, yet they exuded something akin to fondness as they stared back at him. Bilbo swallowed the lump in his throat, nerves creeping up on him despite how often he had dreamt of the figure.
Even as they touched– even as the figure ran its fingers down the side of Bilbo’s arm, he’s was just as nervous as he always was. The good kind of nervous, he thought. The hand which touched him was cold, Bilbo knew that, yet it still felt warm against his skin. The figure murmured something, although there was no mouth for Bilbo to see move as the figure’s face was blurry like it always was, but he knew that deep down, the figure was speaking to him. It always had been.

Plagued by strange dreams which seem to predict events that ultimately end up taking place in his life, Bilbo Baggins of Bag End finds himself at a standstill when thirteen very familiar dwarves show up uninvited to his doorstep.
Will Bilbo be able to prevent all of the terrible things his dreams prophesied from happening?

Summary
Bilbo Baggins was undeniably different from the other Hobbits, whether it was because he was the only one with curly black hair or because he had learned to use a sword with the help of the Elves. The thing was that Bilbo Baggins was not completely a Hobbit, he was half Hobbit and half Dwarf. His mother was left at the altar pregnant, by none other than Thorin Oakshield, after all the Dwarves have strict rules against marrying someone outside their race. And Bilbo Baggins lived without caring to meet his biological father, but everything changed with the arrival of Gandalf who offered him the opportunity to meet his father and also to find the other half of his soul. It's not like Bilbo could say no, after all.

Summary
I have no idea why these two idiots keep popping up in my head. I recently read the novel Red, White & Royal Blue – the characters were great, the story captivating… but my brain immediately gave me the thought: what if Thorin and Thranduil were in their place?
That's how this fanfiction was born. You'll find inspiration and passages similar in tone to Casey McQuiston's book, but in a world where royal crowns, proud glances, and the eternal rivalry between elves and dwarves take on a whole new dimension.
This is, of course, just a play on the imagination – a kind of homage and a loose variation, not intended to copy or take away from the original. I hope the author will forgive me, and you will have fun discovering familiar tensions and entirely new emotions in Thorin and Thranduil's portrayal.
And if anyone asks: why Thorin and Thranduil? – the short answer is: I don't know. These two kings are persistently injecting themselves into every story I write, and I don't think I have any control over it anymore. 😅
And since my mood has been what it is lately, I often escape into writing, which is definitely the best medicine.

Oh, how I miss you.
Oh, how I miss the way you'd brush my hair,
how you'd hold me tight and promise me light.
How you held my hand while we flew through the air, and again when we were tied to that chair.
Somehow, your tender touch was enough to keep the pain away, even just for a moment.
You reminded me that you would always be with me, but in the end you left me, just like everyone else.
It's not your fault; I only wish that I could join you sooner.
I love you, mommy. I will see you soon.
I will bring him back.

Summary
Thorin’s hand is forced into finding a Consort. Potential suitors must prove themselves through gift giving. Thankfully a pining Bilbo has a project he’s been working on for months that will hopefully stop his beloved dwarf from marrying another.
Thorin's glare was redirected to him. "Is it so absurd to imagine me with a spouse?" His voice was bitter.
Jealousy curdled in Bilbo's gut. It was not absurd, Bilbo had imagined it countless times, but with him as Thorin's husband. However, he couldn't say that, could he? It was obvious Thorin was looking for something, someone, else.

Summary
Bilbo Baggins is a gentle hobbit of good reputation. He is the proprietor of his family estate and has a comfortable fortune. He is also unmarried, at the age of 43, and the whole of the Shire is speculating that the vein of wildness that plagues his family line is hindering his chances. In fact, no one in the Shire can understand Bilbo’s refusal of so many proposals from very auspicious matches. But, when a mansion built on the far west side of the Shire is occupied by visiting royals, the Master of Bag-End might just find his perfect match. That is, if prides and prejudices can be put aside.

Summary
Bilbo Baggins, son of the late preacher Bungo, has inherited the pulpit of his small Shire parish, and though often compared unfavorably to his father, he had grown into his own as a priest—gentle, progressive, and quietly stubborn in his convictions.
What begins as a priest’s duty to extend kindness, becomes something more complicated when strangers arrive—broad-shouldered, bearded, and carrying the weight of the world. Thorin’s piercing gaze lingers too long, and Bilbo isn’t sure if it’s judgment… or something else entirely.
There’s faith, and then there’s temptation. And sometimes even a priest can’t tell the difference.
