Having weird parents sucked. A pretty obvious fact, you'd think, but it sucked today particularly more than any other day. Stephanie felt full of cold. She'd woken up with a sore throat and a blocked nose and honestly, she hadn't wanted to get out of bed at all- and not in her normal way. Her body felt like it was full of wet cement, like gravity wanted her specifically.
But she had to come into school.
Nobody ever let her take any days off.

Summary
A cough bubbled in Damian’s chest. He clasped his shaking hands over his mouth in a vain attempt to swallow it back, but it was too late. It tore from his lips, tearing through his ribs and leaving a smear of blood on the palms of his gloves.
The monster snapped to attention, slowly raising its head to peer directly at the vent. Damian stared back, unable to tear his gaze away. He knew what was coming; he had already fought this monster before. Still, nothing would prepare him for the sight which greeted his eyes.
After all, the monster wore the face of his brother.

Tim leans forward, blowing on his fingers. Despite his gloves, the night is cold enough that his fingers are freezing. Gordon and Bruce have been talking for almost an hour, and Bruce told Tim to just sit and wait. So, he’s been sitting on the edge of a building, freezing his fingers off while they talk about a million different cases that they’ve been working on throughout the week.
If I’d known that I wasn’t going to be doing anything, I would have brought a few of my case files with me.
“Robin, do you want to go handle a small robbery downtown?” Bruce asks.
Tim jumps up, nodding. Bruce gives him an address.
“You’ll be handling it by yourself. Make sure you’re quick and careful.”

Bruce likes to sit down at the Batcomputer, closing his eyes as he imagines the sounds of laughter from Dick first, then Jason. Now it’s quiet, it’s like they were never even there. Everywhere he looks, he sees things that make him think of his children, but he still can’t seem to find any proof of what he lost.
Then one day a child approaches him, tells him that he’s going too far. That he’s hurting people, including himself. He has dark hair, intelligent eyes, and a determined face though Bruce can’t see most of it. He doesn’t look as happy, or as carefree as Bruce’s children would. The way they would smile, and their faces would light up.
He blows the kid off without paying any attention to who he is, or what he’s saying. He goes home to drink for a while before passing out on his bed.

Tim nods again, heading to the sparring deck. He pulls his hoodie off, tossing it over to his backpack. The cave is typically cold, but he can’t have anything hindering his movement. Bruce walks over a few minutes later, wrapping up his knuckles. Tim frowns, knowing that Bruce has been having more joint problems recently.
“Alright, do you remember the move that I taught you earlier to knock your opponent off their feet?”
“Yes, sir.”
“Do that to me in this session.”
“Ok.”
They start sparring with Tim mostly just avoiding Bruce’s punches. Then he manages to slip behind Bruce, and take out his ankle, throwing Bruce completely off balance. Then Tim sends Bruce to the floor as something beeps behind them.

“Yeah, I know. That’s actually why I’m here. I know that Dick was supposed to pick you up, but he’s not coming. He said he got caught up at work, and he's not going to make it down here.”

They had just stepped into Tim’s apartment through his bay window, careful to make sure they weren’t being followed. Normally they would part their separate ways after a successful mission together, but Tim’s place was closer and it had a shower. Steph desperately needed a long shower.

Both Dimensions are nearly identical save for one major difference- Tim.
In Dimension 1Tim stood his ground against his family after he had saved Bruce from being lost in the past, Dick had taken Robin from him, and both Damian and Jason had tried to kill him. He demanded respect and stopped letting the Bats treat him as an afterthought, he made himself more prominent in the family.
However, Tim in Dimension 2 never stood his ground with his family, he continues to allow his family to treat him as an afterthought. Tim’s works alone while he’s a vigilante and has become estranged from his family- only communicating about the mission.
