Summary
Thomas wakes up in a metal box, surrounded by a bunch of teenagers staring at him.
They say he is in something called The Glade, where all the boys here have lost their memories, and are just surviving, while a mysterious source sends them supplies and people. Thomas is immediately on alert and doesn't trust the situation he is thrown into.
But there's one boy who makes everything just slightly more bearable.
Newt.
So while Thomas desperately tries to find a way out for everyone, he is also battling his feelings for Newt, and Newt is doing the same. Can Thomas free everyone while coming to terms with his feelings for Newt?(This does not follow the original story. There is some overlap, but the details are different.)

After WCKD discovered Thomas was Super Immune and could permanently cure the Flare in others, he became their one and only test subject. While the other Immunes escaped to the Safe Haven thanks to the Right Arm, Newt stayed in the Last City with Thomas in order to support him as he underwent testing by WCKD — living with him in his suite, taking care of him when he was injured, and quietly pining for him when he was well. Over time the testing Thomas was subjected to became more and more extreme, and Newt began to fear that one day WCKD would go too far. When Newt made a plan to get Thomas out of the situation, it set off a chain of events including the unlocking of incredible abilities that Thomas didn’t even know he had.

It hurts.
“I had– I had pulled the trigger and it didn’t- it hadn’t missed, this time, Newt. It didn’t miss and you- fuck, ” He chokes out, a sob high up in his throat, the barbed wire digging further and further into his skin. The sobs come out harder, now, violent and unforgiving as they shake Thomas’ broad frame. And Newt— Newt can feel nothing else except for the anger making itself at home in his bones at the fact that Thomas, brave, and stupid, and so very beautiful Thomas was being terrorized by his own mind; its claws digging and forcing themselves into his head, and placing down roots unable to be weeded up.
