From the start of the universe, two stars fell down on the earth, twins, girl and a boy.
The girl was the Goddess of the Sun (Amaterasu) and the boy The god of the moon (Tsukuyomaru) and ruled the sky together, creating day and night. With time, they promised to each other do not leave each other side, and created other gods to control other elements, like light, darkness and many more. They set up one rule, that the gods can reincarnate into an animal, a tree or a flower to keep the nature circle going on, but it was forbidden to reincarnate as a living human.
After thousands of years, the brother wanted to reincarnate while the sister became more selfish of her youth, and being controlling over the gods who disobeyed her.
They got into a rough fight until the brother flee their home along with his subordinate, the God of Darkness, and to hide himself, he decided to break the rule by giving his powers to a newborn human, and put the god of darkness to protect the little girl until her powers activated at 15 years old.
