in a world where magic is scorned upon, tubbo and ranboo have the unfortunate trait of being witches. luckily, they've found themselves a human who thinks it's actually pretty cool, and the three become quick friends. tommy promises to protect them from any magic-fearing losers.
so, when the two are accused of witchcraft, tommy takes all the blame instead. he's headed to be burned at the stake. turns out, when it comes time for the execution, maybe he isn't as powerless and human as he once thought.

Summary
Tubbo likes his job, ignoring the ichor and gore under his fingernails. He can deal with the way death clings to his clothes, stains his skin, leaving red rusted on his steel-toed boots. Honestly, the worst part is how animals flee from him. It doesn’t matter how hard he rubs his eyes, what he wears, how light he steps across the forest floor.
What’s dead is dead, and animals will always be able to smell the difference.
OR IN WHICH Tubbo is a necromancer with an uptick of new clients he can’t seem to get back. His newest, Purpled, might be his key to solving it.

Tubbo blinked at the nickname, but didn’t argue. The blooms braided into his curls and the ivy tangled around his wrists probably didn’t help his case.
He took a step closer, the grass thickening beneath his feet. "Names matter here."
"Tommy," the avian said, tilting his head proudly. "That’s Ranboo."Or: Tubbo is strange, the forest moves with him, the animals heed his call. He finally meets people, an enderman and an avian.

Summary
Tommy does not need a witch. Everyone says that familiars can't live without them, but he's not choosing anyone who isn't worth his time. This is a problem for the Mage guild, because Tommy is the most powerful familiar they've seen in one hundred years. Too bad for them, he was running away and leaving all of magic behind him. He befriends small-town beekeeper Tubbo and starts a new life.
... and then he bonded to Tubbo?

Tubbo blinks. The voice is much… younger than he expected. He’s never even seen a fae in person before, but he’s always imagined them as pompous old pricks.
The eyes swirl before coming together. Somehow, they’re even brighter than before. Pale skin melds together to form a figure slightly taller than Tubbo, but also slightly younger in the face.

"Tommy’s eyes watched the streams of people flood past until an opening in the people appeared. It showed the other side of the market, a pub popular with the vampires of the market district. Tommy avoided it like the plague. But he couldn’t help being fixated on it now, icy horror sinking in his stomach. Something inside him was drawing him to the red eyes that seemed to glare straight through Tommy. They were locked together, icy blue gaze on a blood-red. Tommy gulped, pushing down the terror in his throat. Shit. This was not good."
Who knew running from the most dangerous vampire in the city could cause so many problems? Conflict with the rivalry coven, getting into trouble with witches, and of course, being hunted relentlessly by his sire. Clearly, his sire wasn't going to give in, and neither was Tommy. He was never going to stop running.
That was the plan. Until everything came crashing down around him. Tubbo, the only person in the world he trusts, is threatened and Tommy is faced with risking his freedom to keep him safe.
