Summary
"It takes weeks for the W on his shoulder to stop feeling like it’s burning a hole through his armour, and over a month to stop hating the sharp-edged neatness of it, stop hating what it stands for."
Everyone on Blue Team has somewhat... unorthodox tattoos. Tucker doesn't want to talk about his, not after he lost his first soulmate age eighteen. Church shouldn't have one, what what with him being a computer program and all, but does. Caboose's tattoo can't seem to settle on just one person as a soulmate.
As it turns out, neither the Red Team's nor the Freenlancers' tattoos are exactly simple, either.
(The story of Blue Team, Red Team, Wash, and Carolina's soulmate tattoos, told through a series of isolated incidents. Wash/Tucker centric.)

Summary
Tucker supposed he just wanted someone who was competent to hear him out. He wanted to feel like he’d done a good job, that he hadn’t completely fucked it up. Washington was the only one around whose opinion on the subject really mattered…
No one had ever said they were proud of him.

“So, what does it say then?”
For the briefest moment, Tucker’s hand stopped. “Nothing much.” Tucker continued to draw again.
“I swear to God, if you’ve written ‘Property of Lavernius Tucker’ or ‘This booty belongs to L. Tucker’ again, I’ll shoot you.”

“Tucker…”
Wash really wanted to know how Tucker knew the alien language. He’d have to wait to find out. Assuming they survived.
“How do you fuck up ‘attack’ and ‘peace!?’"
Washington’s voice did that thing where it increases in pitch the more he can’t believe a situation.“My Sangheili isn’t the greatest, okay? Fuck, this doesn’t look good…”

Tucker couldn’t wait to see what his android looked like! He had made sure to check all the right boxes: blonde and attractive. That’s all that really mattered.
What would she look like? Oh man, Tucker hoped she was smokin’. Not that he’d want to do anything inappropriate with her. Okay. Maybe he kinda did, but he mostly just wanted someone pretty to look at.
Carefully, Tucker brushed away the foam peanuts from the robot’s face and did a double take.
Oh, fuckberries.

Summary
Attentive is not usually a word that Washington would use to describe Lavernius Tucker.
However, right now, and for the past however many minutes, Lavernius Tucker has been the most attentive that Wash has ever witnessed.
Usually Wash would argue that Tucker never focuses anything. Apparently, that is not the case. Tucker can indeed focus on things. In fact, Tucker is very, very focused right now and his attention is set on one thing and one thing only.
Washington.

Tucker blinked, surprised that out of all the things Wash could be yelling at, he’s yelling about Tucker’s age?
“Yeah. How fucking old did you think I was?”
“But…but…” Wash’s voice was even doing that funny pitch-change. He really, truly could hardly believe it.
"You thought I was around your age, didn’t you?” Tucker’s voice was smug.
“I knew you weren’t my age but I thought Caboose was the youngest…then maybe Donut.”

Wash looked up in a panic as a man approached him speaking in French.
"Uh…I don’t…I can’t…um…"“Holà! Calme-toi, mec…”
"Sorry. I don’t understand…" Wash peered at the dark-skinned man, trying in vain to comprehend what he was saying.
The man offered a charming smile.
”C’est tout bon.” The stranger paused for a second. “So, you’re a tourist then?” -

Inspired by Carrie Underwood's "Just A Dream"
The Reds and Blues plus Freelancers thought they would celebrate going home and being free. They never thought this is how it would ended. Well, they did but they never thought it would actually happen.

"If it’s just a fever," Wash said, "Why do you look so worried?"
Tucker glanced away.
"Fevers can be dangerous if they’re too high. You’re always looking out for me and you’re more than capable for looking after yourself. Looking after you when you’re sick is the only chance I get to try to protect you." -

When those five years had passed, and the story had blown up all over the news, the sudden realization had killed her. Project Freelancer was a bust. Investigations following, but as it stands, none of the agents or their COs had survived. Wash's mom started watching the news religiously after that.
