Their shoulders brush against each other and they laugh like they’re children playing in the sandbox, building castles, sharing supplies. Shouta laughs with his fingers over his mouth and his shoulders hunched up like he’s embarrassed the red is creeping up to his ears. Oboro laughs loud, he’s strong, intentional and unabashed. There’s sand in their hair and under their nails and in their shoes, and they’re probably going to find the grains in their clothes for days afterwards.
But Shouta doesn’t mind it. Shouta never minds it.

Curmudgeonly was one of the nicer words used to describe him. Teaching wasn't meant to be more than just another responsibility to fill his time. Aizawa only took this job to take a fine-toothed comb through the latest crop of hero hopefuls. To not do so would be downright neglectful. And there was nothing he hated more than letting things end halfway.
Fatherly certainly wasn't a word used to describe him either. Responsible, sure, but fatherly? His only qualification for guardianship is Erasure. That should not be enough to land him guardianship of multiple kids.
Bakugou is pretty sure the nerd had forgiven him already, but he's been wrong about him before and his childhood 'friend's' forgiveness feels more like a participation trophy than the result of blood, sweat, and tears. And all things considered, there are worse empty victories than a half-assed match.

Students in his homeroom class 1-A spoke highly of All Might. Admiring how kind and heroic he is, Aizawa never masked his hatred for the man and all he stood for. That being true, until a new teacher joined UA.

Nice one Hizashi. "No, that came out wrong" he says. Ironic. "I meant, I want to break up" he corrects and "shit, that sounds worse." He's scrambling for a new way to say what's on his mind right now, all the while Nemuri is leaning on the counter, her lips tilted in a frown and eyebrows furrowed as she looks at the babbling blond. Exhaling, she places the cup down on the counter. " You want to break up?" She asks, calmly.
Hizashi swallows, "Yes?" it comes out like a question and he facepalms.

A small sensation of trepidation swooped in my gut. The thought of spending an evening with my new peers was genuinely nice, even nicer if it included someone as grounded and unfazed by my fame as Aizawa, but his face was a cold slate as he stared down his friend. I had more than a passing impression he didn’t want to include me in their evening.
Perhaps I was mistaken, and his nonplussed attitude was actually closer to distaste. It was no secret to me he didn’t endorse everything I did as All Might, but I’d hoped maybe, at the very least, knowing the truth of my condition would soften his hard opinion of me.
Maybe not so much.

I stared at Hizashi, let the seconds drag out to make him uncomfortable, before glancing at All Might and shrugging. “It’s not a private function.”
“He’s just grumpy because he didn’t get his nap today.” Hizashi turned up his nose haughtily. “We’re just going to hit the locker room to ditch these duds for street clothes then it’s happy hour, baby!”
