It was tense and awkward, and Cleo was continually shooting him dirty looks about going along with this whole affair.
Etho wanted to complain, but he wasn’t able to bemoan his circumstances. No one around here could. Not in this world, in this seemingly endless dystopia, where they were always fighting, just...always fighting. Enduring. Opening their eyes with no reason other than to close them again.
It wasn't enough...but could they build more? Maybe not to take it themselves...but at least some sort of high road.
