Summary
Studying Dream with mismatched eyes, George's pupils dilate, blue and brown swallowed by inky pools of black reminiscent of the Void itself. "That was easy. I always forget how slow humans are."
"Wait," Dream wheezes, scrabbling at George's hand-paws. Despite his best efforts, they remain firmly planted on Dream's chest, the tips of George's claws pricking his skin through the fabric of his tunic. "Give me another chance, please, I swear I'll be faster this time—"
"That's what they all say," George interrupts. He flexes his claws, grinning at the pained noise Dream lets out when they dig into his skin. "Why should I believe you?"
Desperation floods Dream's chest in tandem with the unbidden tears that well in his eyes. "Because I mean it. Please. Give me another chance."
George's ears twitch, first the left and then the right, as if bouncing his thoughts between them.
"Convince me."

Desperate and running out of time, Dream accepts a simple yet dangerous offer. All he has to do is recover a priceless treasure from the beast who lives in the cursed woods and he'll be rewarded with enough gold to last a lifetime.

Ranboo is trying his very best to be a normal cat, despite his lankiness and seeming inability to age, oh and the fact that his fur is half black, half white and perfectly split down the middle, that doesn't help either.He's just trying to survive, and decides to try staying for a couple weeks at Origins Lane -or as he calls it, Shifter City Street- after being chased there by a dog shifter that was out for blood. He thinks he might just get to settle down for a little bit, a fellow cat shifter by the name of Techno thinks Ranboo's stay might be a bit longer then the young teen expected, maybe even leading to adoption and Ranboo finally having a permanent home

Dream has always wanted a cat.
Soon, Soon he'd get a cat.
That was until he heard banging outside, like something was moving around in the metal trash bins that were in the alley outside his window. Checking out the trash cans, he struggled to open the lid to see what was making the noise, again- expecting to find and shoo away some raccoons.
Instead, there he found a cat.
OR
Sheltered human Dream lives in a city with a bunch of other races, yet doesn't question when things start to go missing as soon as he adopts a new cat. That 'cat' shows his appreciation a few months later.

Summary
This week he’s entered Friday from a sleepless night, and as such, set out before the sun. Only now, with the rocky expanse he’s been trekking towards for several hours coming into view, do the stars begin to fade from their homes above him. He pauses for a long drink of water and watches them retreat from the eastern horizon and across the sky.
Sometimes he thinks the stars mirror the pain he feels, even when the sun hides them, with all its light and warmth and goodness, they remain unmoved, needing only a moment of darkness to shine forth once more.
The hurt from loss, Dream has decided, is as permanent as the stars are. Sure, they are bound to die and fade in time, but likely not within his life. He has long since come to terms with the fact that no matter how much sun he fills his days with, the stars will be there behind it, ready to shine out as soon as the darkness of night arrives.
The stars will always haunt the sun.
Or; Dream meets a unique stranger in the woods and and they fall into a tangle of destiny to save each other.
