“Will you let me?” Thame asks.
Somehow, Po knows he’s asking for himself and Teema. He’s no longer separating the two of them in his head.
Po turns to Teema and finds him standing behind Thame. His hand is on Thame’s shoulder, squeezing it for assurance. Po doesn’t know if he’s doing it for himself or for Thame, but warmth washes over him as he sees Teema care for himself.

Hanbin supposes that’s true. If a vampire really wanted him dead, he’s sure that he would have been eaten long, long ago. At least, Gyuvin wouldn’t have entertained their nightly chases for so long if he wanted to kill him.
“I’m sorry,” Hanbin finally says after a few moments of thinking. “I guess—I assumed."
“You should be sorry.” Gyuvin pouts. “This whole time, I thought you’ve been courting me."
“Courting you?” Hanbin almost chokes.
Hanbin is probably the worst vampire hunter in the history of the profession. Gyuvin just loves to play with him.
