It was a nice evening to say the least ... the air was perfect, the sun shining perfectly through the trees illuminating the forest. It rained last night leaving a strong scent of rich soil and rainwater to linger in the air. It was but a pleasant and welcoming aroma that comforted and soothed the senses. Amidst all of this was a cozy house sanctioned perfectly upon the earth. The house was a bright red mushroom house that seemingly stood out amongst the nature surrounding it.

At twenty-eight, George finally decides to get his driver’s license. It’s something he’s put off for years—too anxious, too distracted, too tangled in other things that felt more urgent than learning how to parallel park. But when he finally books a lesson, his new instructor, Dream, turns out to be calm in all the ways George isn’t—patient, focused, steady-handed. He pushed forward “we’re back, little one!” He called out. The kid giggles and laughs. The larger villain puts the kid down who runs over to him. The cuffs disappear as siren kneels down “mommy?!”
“Yea. See. All good now.” Siren says handing over the bottle.
“Big bottle!” He carefully holds the bottle “so pretty.” He says and sniffs the perfume. “Mmm hugs and cuddles.” The kid beams. “Thank you mister.”
“Oh and a cola. As promised.”
Tommy pushes his hair out of the way of his gorgeous blue eyes… a vibrant electric blue. A vibrancy he’s only seen in one other person. He takes the bottle and hugs his items “thank you!… I wish you were my mommy instead.”
There was a loving tug on the villains heart.

George is an FBI agent in training. He's top of his class, but an offer from the director of the Violent Crimes and Major Offenders unit offers him the chance to work with a unique partner on a returning murder case that George had been interested in a year before hand. His new partner is Nightmare, the guy they originally locked away as the main suspect a year earlier. If Nightmare (also known as Dream) can help George solve the case before Halloween, Dream gets probation and George could possibly graduate from his training. But the real nightmare is still out there for them to find.

A 14 year old boy who had murdered someone with a rifle in his hands. A boy who had seen his brothers in war had their lives stolen from them by firearms. A boy who had seen life drain from eyes and gore staining walls and grass. A boy who had been through far too much. A boy who should have been playing with his friends in grass fields, not shooting them. A boy who should have been tossing balls back and forth with his best friends, not watching bombs tear through skin and guts splatter across snow.

Dream had overgrown dirty blond hair that, even over saturated with salty water, still fell in soft curls over his forehead and down around his ears. Lots of freckles. Like, a lot of freckles. Filling in the darkened skin under his eyes and tracing the lines of his pale shoulders. Pale broad shoulders. Striking green eyes. And a flipper. Yeah.
So George had – reasonably – freaked out a little as he not only accidentally pulled a man out of the water with his fishing line but immediately found out that said man was part fucking fish.
“I’m not part fish,” Dream said with a scoff. “I’m a sea monster. It’s not the same at all, really. I don’t even have gills.”

George’s eyes momentarily flew shut as he felt bright lights streaming down at him, and it was only when they somewhat adjusted again that they saw a familiar sight before him. The Paris Opera fully booked out. But that couldn’t be, the performance had just ended, why was there a new audience, and new dancers here already?
“Ladies and Gentlemen," a sudden voice announces. It felt like it was all around him as George felt himself flinching, the stares he received not going unnoticed. “It is a pleasure to introduce the Paris Opera Ballet student company and budding class of 2025.”
George felt his blood run cold. “2025?” He said in shock, more to himself than anyone else. They couldn’t possibly mean the year.
It was 1805. 2025 was still over two hundred years away.

Dream's touch makes his skin crawl and his formerly perfect smile doesn't sit quite right. It doesn't help that his intrusive thoughts are consuming his every waking moment and old feelings are flaring up again. Everything is converging to lead him down a dark path this Halloween, and George isn't sure if he can escape it.
