Eddie convinces Dustin to try out after hearing him sing one time after Hellfire club, but Dustin only agrees if Eddie can convince Steve to try out as well (different timeline where Steve is still in high school) Steve hastily agrees and so they all audition. And the cant list is: Steve as Evan Hansen, Eddie as Connor Murphy, Nancy as Zoey Murphy, Dustin as Jared Kleinman, Robin as Alana Beck. Don't want to give anymore info cause it would spoil the rest of the story but Evan and Conor are a lot gayer in the show.
