Summary
“ - t’sokay,” Rumi tries to assure Zoey, who's frantically hovering, but her words are slurred. “It only scratched me. I wasn’t bit.” Her back aches from where the werewolf had thrown her, but it’s nothing compared to the pain where its claws had ripped into her.
“Why’d you push me out of the way?” Zoey demands, and there is so much pain in her voice that Rumi wants to reach for her, but Rumi’s hand won’t do anything but twitch uselessly at her ruined side.
“Had to…” Rumi feels woozy, like she’s floating on a cloud, but she still manages a weak smile. “You were in danger… s’worth it…”
“Idiot,” Zoey sobs. “You’re such an idiot, Rumi.”
Rumi wants to laugh but it comes out like a cough, the sound thick and wet, as the red spills out past her smile in a rush.
Ryu Rumi was trained to be a Hunter just like her mother before her. Until one night a Hunt goes horribly wrong and Rumi becomes the very thing she had sworn to destroy.
Years since she fled Korea, Rumi firmly believes her past to be in the past.
Only she’s never been that lucky.

Summary
I really fucking hated Celine and as a queer kid from a religious cult background, I wanted to see her suffer for what she did to Rumi. Pretty sure she killed that poor kids parents too. Anyways, this is my what if, alternative universe re-write where Celine is the bad guy, Gwi-ma is there but no one is really trying to free him. Some demons are good. Some suck souls but you can tell by the way they don't have a face!
I thought Mira's hair matched Abby and Romance too much to not make them Half siblings separated by a few centuries. They annoy the shit out of her but she loves them. Mystery is gender fluid and a system. They just looked like they could be, so I went with it. Jinu is like Rumi and supressed as fuck. Poor Abby be pining for a repressed queer. Seems to be a sibling thing as Mira is doing the same shit but with Rumi.
I have this head-canon that Mira often wears clothing that Zoey either made for her or bought for them to match because she would never reject Zoey's attempt to adopt an older sister she can rely on. Zoey is a sassy little loyal shit with an obsession with tech.

Summary
Celine didn't kill Rumi. Rumi had begged for it and she didn't do it. She dropped the sword to the ground and refused. But she still took the sword...Rumi still felt the cold tip of the blade pressing against her neck, just one thrust away from ending it all for the half demon. Rumi still felt the blood prickling from her neck, staining her white turtle neck and golden zipper. Celine stopped before she could do more than that but she still considered doing worse...somehow that made Rumi feel worse about the whole thing. It doesn't help that she now has to explain to her girlfriends why there is dried blood on her neck, collar and zipper when they could swear they wasn't hit (other than by Gwi-ma's flames) in the final battle, who then initially assume Jinu had accidentally hurt her when sacrificing himself for her.
