So, Fjord has healing abilities now
--
The fight had quickly taken a turn for the worse. Caleb’s luck had run out and it seemed that his new armor had invited the universe to just try and hit him harder. Beau was stuck with a creature that just would not go down, drawing all of her attention to it to prevent it from turning its wrath on the rest of the Nein. Nott and Jester were shoulder-to-hip facing down the enemy but anyone could see Jester was exhausted and low on spell slots. Wait, Caduceus! Where was Caduceus?Fjord snapped his head back and forth trying to find their second cleric. Why the hells couldn’t he see him anywhere?

Summary
Based on some art I did of Fjord. Basically, Fjord wakes up with a nasty cough and freaks out bc his first thought is that the saltwater is coming and Uk'otoa is back.
---
The constricted feeling in his chest is what wakes him up. His entire upper body feels like it’s being crushed. But the thing that shocks him into action is the sudden wet cough that wracks through him, forceful enough that it feels like he’s going to cough up a lung. And the coughs don’t stop, there isn’t enough time between each for him to catch his breath. And in his newly-awake frame of mind, it immediately jumps to the memories of saltwater burning up his trachea. The horrifying and all-too-familiar ache of water in his lungs.

Summary
Fjord’s internal clock is still in the process of readjusting to the Prime Material Plan after their excursion through the Folding Halls of Halas. They’d lost weeks in there and while they never really keep normal hours, to begin with now there’s usually at least one member of the Nein bored and wandering through the halls of the Xhorhaus looking for some way to stay occupied. Tonight that’s Fjord.

There lived a great serpent in the depths of the Lucidian Ocean, a horrible creature longer than any of the great ships of either the Empire or the Dynasty, its fearsome form was covered in yellow lantern eyes. And the creature wouldn’t have been of any concern if it had confined itself to feasting only on the other creatures of the depths.

Modern au
All of Fjord’s friends in the Mighty Nein live in the Xhorhas, a student-friendly house only a short walk from campus. The prices were fair, furniture was included, there was laundry on site, and sometimes the owner made everyone food.
You just had to be okay with living in a graveyard.
But Fjord doesn’t have a choice when Beau drags him to stay at the Xhorhas with her “for a few days”. The Mighty Nein is worried about his involvement with Avantika and her group known as “The Champions”. Ever since he fell in with that group, things have only gotten worse for Fjord.
After enough pressure, he agrees to take a few days away from The Champions. He doesn’t expect to appreciate the quiet beauty of the Blooming Grove, or to find peace in its patron goddess. And he certainly doesn’t expect to feel so connected to the tall, pink-tinged firblog of a landlord.

They were sharing a pot of tea in the empty bar of the Lavish Chateau. Streams of morninglight caught the steam, made it ghostly as it curled around Caduceus’ features.
Not for the first time, Fjord had to fight down the impulse to seize him roughly by the collar and kiss him.(Fjord and Caduceus make out in the ocean. It's a lot for everyone involved).

Bookmarker's Notes
If he could ignore the entirety of the world around him to commune with the Wildmother, he could ignore his own wounds and panic until everyone else was okay; the most important thing was making sure everyone survived.
