humor, action, tension, avenger's bonding. then definite hints of angst because avengers. then several whammies, steve pulls a dick move (we find out the reasons and ouch you poor baby and i would love more about all this), more action, people get shaken up, team building, and feelings. oh and ptsd. a really really good ptsd-ish sort of scene. also the description of pep and tony's abandonment issues are good. a good series. worth a read. the team stuff is so so wonderful. the characterizations are wonderful. it's amazing really.

The Elmo Incident is a One-Shot story that takes place within the Awakenings Universe. This tale fits into the time-line as a missing scene within the novella Kaleidoscope; for reference, the events in The Elmo Incident take place between the action in chapters 13 and 14.

wonderful fic love natasha's characterization it's wonderful. and so many good observations too. enjoying the whole series.
Taking his toy away will only further aggravate Tony, so Natasha tries a different tack: Knowing that people in newly monogamous relationships find sexually ambiguous situations uncomfortable, she begins methodically to remove her clothing. She starts by pulling her shirt over her head, revealing a blue sports bra that covers far more flesh than the bikini she’d worn earlier in their vacation—but it is more than enough to get Stark to drop his eyes. And having closed once, they obviously didn’t want to open again.

Each piece in this series has been designed to be comprehensible as a standalone story, though the series probably helps provide context.
A billionaire, a super soldier, a guy with serious anger management issues, a god, two assassins, and their handler
walk into a barget thrown together on a Helicarrier. They save the world a lot. Once they're (mostly) done trying to kill each other.This is a series built around an as-yet-unpublished MCU/616 novel-length WIP that focusses on the events of The Avengers and the years following, as the team reassembles and learns to work and live together. I had intended to finish that first, then got pulled into a couple of challenges where plotlines fit a little too perfectly for scenes I wanted to write and couldn't quite place in the larger WIP itself. Ergo, these became the equivalent of DVD extras--missing scenes, prequels, etc.--and once finished, that WIP will become part of this series, as well.
