He had been in the middle of his sentence when he felt a tingling sensation in his Soul Jam, something cold and prickly. He had frowned ever so slightly, a crease forming between his brows, and felt his gaze being directed to a specific spot of the crowd without really knowing why. He felt his breath catch in his throat.
The Sage swallowed, his fingers trailing to rest on his own Soul Jam. He traced the outline of the shape, cool to the touch.
He realized, with a start, that he had fallen silent, his words fading. The young cookie scholars in the hall began to chatter softly. The Sage cleared his throat, drawing their focus and attention once more with such ease as if he were collecting threads, and started speaking again. “The blade that separates Truth from Deceit…”

Mingis life wasn't terrible, but it really wasn't anything special besides existing. He worked mostly graveyard and closing shifts making it hard for him to make any friends since he basically operated in a different timezone than anyone else in the city. He lived in a kind of shitty area but the apartment was cheap and only one of his neighbors was really annoying, so he couldn't complain. That was until a certain Jeong Yunho starts showing up at his job more often, bringing sunlit days and soft eyes to Mingis midnight shifts. But Yunho also brought bloodied knuckles and danger, bringing old memories of a life Mingi thought he would never live again with him.
Yunho was so lucky that Mingis favorite color was red.

Light drifted through the canopy of the forest, basking the seventeen people in a soft, golden hue. One of the people stirred as the light hit his eyes, his tri-coloured parrot wings shifting as he moves to sit up. He can feel the soft grass underneath his hands, the chilly morning air rushing past through the dense foliage of the forest. Looking around at his companions he glances around, his gaze shifting over the people that surround him quickly. This must be another of the life games, but it seems nothing like the games they normally take part in. Perhaps the Watchers wished for a new, more... Exciting and entertaining game then the ones before.
This is a Life series and Ark crossover because I'm obsessed with dinosaurs and other things like that and I also love these funky little guys.

Cross Reverie, a once world renown game for it's advanced mechanics and exceptional player options. The game was elevated by a star player who became so well known for their skill and roleplay that they were regarded by even many developers as part of the lore, there were even rumors amongst players that the devs were working with the legendary player to create an overarching storyline. It wasn't true of course, at least to said player's knowledge, but that very same legendary player, Diablo, loved seeing people speculate on the forums anyway. Unfortunately Diablo seemed to disappear one day, it was hard to believe such a dedicated player had simply quit playing, so most assumed something happened to whoever was behind the screen. With the developer's plans and work to use Diablo for a long standing plot line ruined with Diablo's player vanishing, they were left to rush for something new. The game quickly grew easier, the level cap increased without proper scaling, the grind and encounters made incredibly easy, CR quickly chased away it's loyal players, and new players found nothing intriguing to keep them hooked. -Who could have guessed Diablo was still in the world of Cross all this time?
