His reflexes are sharper, his thoughts aren’t always his own, and the hunger—the need—to hurt the people who did this won’t go away. Wade calls him “Spidey” like nothing’s changed, like he isn’t a walking nightmare stitched together by cruelty.
But Peter knows better.

No matter how many layers he put on in the morning, he still shivered like it was freezing outside. The shivers never seemed to leave. He was tired and cold and just wanted to get home to his bed and sleep. He had no idea what was wrong, if it was just a cold or something more serious, but he had been shivering for the last 2 weeks, and it was only getting worse as the days went by.

With every shuddering breath, Peter felt the presence of something otherworldly, like shadows dancing at the periphery of his vision. He squeezed his eyes shut, trying to block it out, but the cracks in his world only deepened. He could see flickers of another city—a dark, rain-soaked landscape. The jagged outline of towering buildings, streets lit by neon and shadows. Goth Man? he thought briefly, confused. But that wasn’t the strangest part. No, the real shock came in the form of a figure—a shadowy silhouette that loomed just outside his peripheral vision. Two glowing eyes pierced through the darkness, watching him with an intensity that sent a chill down his spine.
Peter Parker was doing okay. He had an apartment, job, friends... at least until he found himself multiversally transplanted to the streets of Gotham. But Peter's come back from nothing before, with far less experience than he has now. Now he just has to figure out how to get home.

But after picking up a couple odd jobs to pay rent, he finds himself in an all too familiar yet completely new situation. The multiverse is real- and it has come back to bite him.
