Summary
"They're actually not the best pies ever created," Cas says.
Dean narrows his eyes. "You know where to find good ones and never told me?"
Castiel shifts his gaze away. "1991 BC, Egypt," he answers matter-of-factly, as if it's one of the simple most obvious unchangeable truths of the world.
Dean stares at him. "You're joking."

Summary
A week after Jack left, he brought Castiel back from the Empty — whole, alive, and standing in front of Dean like nothing had changed, though everything had. Dean’s grateful. Of course he is. But now that Cas is here, really here, Dean is left face-to-face with everything unsaid between them. He knows what Cas confessed before dying, and worse — he knows damn well what he feels in return. But saying it out loud? That’s another story entirely, because there's something broken inside of him.
Dean asks Cas for something no one’s ever asked of him before: to go back in time, to the moment something broke, and stop it from happening. Stop the moment that taught Dean to be afraid of what he wanted most. Stop the moment Dean got broken.
Stop John Winchester.

Summary
Dean and Sam are letting Chuck beat them up to give Jack the opportunity to absorb his powers, and something irreparable happens.
The brothers sacrifice their lives to give the world free will, and they have no regrets.
It was a hell of a ride
------Look, it's been almost 5 years and I'm still deep in my feelings if I think about the finale for more than 2 seconds, so...
I wrote this piece shortly after the end of show, because I knew there were a thousand different ways to end it, including the death of the brothers but without doing the crap they did with 15x20. If Sam and Dean had to die, they should at least do so by freeing the world from Chuck, to give humanity the free will for which they have always fought. I only published it in Italian, because back then I wouldn't be able to handle an English version. Now, after finishing the podcast Monster of the week (which I highly recommend!) I found myself struggling with the feelings aroused by that damned finale. And so...I finally translated this story.

Summary
I hated the s15 finale, and all fix-it fics I found were too short (aka, they did in fact end), so I needed to add my own take to the multitudes ♥
Taking off from when Jack leaves, we see the repercussions of Cas' death, Dean's spiraling, and Sam and Eileen starting a new project. Of course, we will get Cas back (eventually)! And after figuring their shit out (Jack also has a few words to say,), we get to see their lives. Just all of them. Being happy. Imagine that. (alternating povs)
Every Chapter has its own trigger warnings, but for the overall work:
TRIGGER WARNINGS:depression, self harm, self hate, and self deprecation, suicidal ideation and attempts, violence, gore, and injuries, violence against children, mentions of SA/CSA/torture, substance abuse, foul language, sexual content, mentions of neglectful parents -

Summary
Dean prays to Castiel. Jack answers.
Unfortunately, it’s not as simple as just snatching Cas out of The Empty.
After traveling to the past, Jack brings back a duplicate made from Cas’s human days and endows him with grace. Jack has caught Cas up on all the events of the past several years, but there’s one thing Jack doesn’t know about.
Dean is faced with getting a version of Cas back who has absolutely no idea that he had confessed his love for him to save his life.

Summary
After the Empty took Castiel, Dean pushed everything he felt inside a Very Secret, Very Closed Box in his head and swallowed the key. The Box had been intact and hermetic for two years in its corner of Dean’s mind, and because of that, Dean had been able to stay sane and focused. More or less.
But now, with Cas back, with every day they didn’t talk about what's between them, the Box is starting to leak.Castiel isn't complaining, far from it: He has a roof over his head, good shower pressure and food. He’s so grateful he’s afraid. Because he believed to have all those things once before, human and lost and confused, only to have the rug pulled under his feet.
And there’s the fact that, the last time he died, he carved his heart out for Dean to take, and the hunter hasn’t said anything about it.
Maybe that’s as good an answer as he’s going to get. -

Dean finds a snoozing Cas.
"If he were feeling more energetic, he might give Cas a hard whack and wake him up the easy way. But, Dean needs the comfort of his boyfriend right now more than that hilarity." -

Summary
Cas looks at him, a blue haze caressing all the injuries on Dean's body, jaw clenched tight, lips pressed into a narrow line. "What do you want me to say to that, Dean?"
"You can't just—" Dean pauses, his fist trembling. "You can't keep doing this shit, man."
"Doing what, exactly?" Cas asks sharply, low and cutting.
Sam shamelessly looks back and forth between them, as if they’re his best entertainment, but Dean sees the way he nods in agreement to what Dean just said, which gives his brother a few points.
---
or
Five times Dean and Cas almost kiss, and one time when they finally do.
Shameless indulgence, post-canon fix-it (no Carry On, thank you and please), with a hint of angst, but with a happy ending, because they both deserve it. And more.

It's been a month since Cas confessed his love and got swallowed up by the Empty, sealing the deal he made to save Jack and the universe as he loved it. Dean has not been taking it well, but is going through the motions for the sake of his worried family.
Word has reached Ame-no-Uzume, Shinto goddess responsible for luring Amaterasu from her cave, that Castiel has escaped the Empty before. It peaks her interest, as she has someone in there she wishes to free. Given that interest, she has an idea to help spring her love, but she will need help. The Winchesters help. And as her luck would have it, they have a vested interest in helping her.

Summary
Step 1: Accept that Cas loves you
Step 2: Realize you've been dating for months (years?)
Step 3: Have a crisis over how badly you don't want to fuck this up and ALL THE REASONS you're certain you willOr, Dean Winchester slowly confronts the mortifying ordeal of being loved and frustrates the hell out of those who know he's worthy of it while they try to convince HIM what they've known all along.
*****
“Thank you, Sam.” Cas smiles at the man in front of him, trying hard to offer comfort even though Cas hadn’t been able to explain that he was having a problem. “You’re a good man. I love you, too.”
Sam blinks, for some reason surprised by this response. Cas thinks about how Dean would react in this moment, but Cas doesn’t think making fun of Sam’s hair or calling him a hippie would quite communicate what he intends. Cas hasn’t mastered Dean’s ability to make insults affectionate, and he doesn’t really think this is the moment to try.
“Uhm. Thank you?” Sam says, his tone questioning. Cas plods on anyway. Sam has been the object of Dean’s love for as long as he has existed. A different love, yes, but still, Sam is perhaps the one person who can help Cas find a way to respond.

Just when Dean thinks he’s getting the hang of the whole raising-a-Nephilim-toddler thing, the kid decides to randomly sprout wings. Awesome.
Good thing he’s got an angel in residence for back up.

Dean cuts him off at the door to the garage, crossing his arms and refusing to let him pass. “And where do you think you’re going?”
“To the store?” Cas answers, sheepish. “We're out of cereal.”
“You can’t leave me alone here! What am I supposed to do if he takes off for space, Cas?! Chase him down in the Impala? Call the FAA?”

Summary
Dean Winchester had never pegged himself as the kind of guy who could spend more than a couple weeks in this kind of bustling seaside city, let alone set up shop and stay, but here he is, temporarily retired from hunting and the proud manager of the diner Rosie’s just a few blocks north of Seabright Beach. Sure, he’s a little bored sometimes, but Santa Cruz is apparently just a place that carries few mysteries of their particular persuasion.
Even Rosie herself seems to be more a fiction than an actual woman. Dean asked about the name once, and the owner had looked at him quizzically and said, “As far as I can tell, she was Ma’s imaginary friend. Why?”
“Just wondering.” So he had left it at that, unwilling to dig up monsters where there are none.
Should have known better.

Summary
“I will not say: do not weep; for not all tears are an evil.”
―J.R.R. Tolkien, The Return of the KingFor a man raised on hunting and hellfire, who'd seen angels fall and demons rise, he should’ve understood sacrifice better. Should’ve known love when it was handed to him.
Instead, he'd stood there like a coward, letting Cas fall without reaching out to catch him.
The walls, the silence, the stillness — all of it bore witness as Dean Winchester, who had carried the world on his shoulders and survived hell itself, shattered into pieces over the one thing he could never fix, never fight for, never save.-
Or, Dean grieves, grows a beard, becomes a dad without realizing it, and get's his happy ending. (Not a fucking rebar, for fuck's sakes)

Summary
Dean strikes a deal with The Empty- if he can guide Cas back to Earth without looking back at him or speaking to him the entire journey, The Empty will let the angel go. Its one condition, however- Castiel is unaware of the bargain Dean has struck as they journey through The Empty together. Dean just has to keep his eyes forward…how hard could that be?
A post-15.18/pre-finale canon divergence AU.

Summary
“It will get better, Dean,” Cas promises to him as he pulls Dean impossibly closer.
Dean just gives a barely-there nod.
Placing a kiss on the back of the hunter’s neck, Cas observes, “You don’t believe me,”. His tone is telling, not asking. He knows that Dean doesn’t.
(TLDR: Castiel gets saved from the empty and comes back to an extremely depressed/grieving Dean. Jack, Sam, Eileen, and Cas do their best to figure life out together, and Dean gets help. Heavy deancas centric + recovery process from alc withdrawal & sh)
