Summary
A select few of the crew on the Finaliser are shapeshifters and every so often shapeshifters are forced to change into their animal form. Most of the higher up officers take supplements to stop the transformation, but circumstances force Hux to go without them. Thus, he is forced to prowl around the Finaliser in his shifted form, but it has been decades since Hux last shifted, he has to acclimatise to his long forgotten animal side. Those onboard the Finaliser who shift, nearly all shift into large predators, but Hux is a small ginger housecat and Ren happens to take a liking to the small cat.

Confused and ready to leave in a hurry if a call had come in while he was out, Eddie pressed the button on the radio and replied.
Eddie:
“Go for Diaz.”
Chim:
“Just checking if you’re still at the bakery, or if you’ve eloped with the hot baker.”
Hen:
“If you’re not back in ten, we’re sending a search party. Or wedding gifts. Depends on your answer.”
Eddie (whisper-screaming, trying to muffle the sound):
“Shut the fuck up, asswipes!”
Hen:
“Sounds like someone’s got an extra muffin again~”
He could hear their laugh over the radio and oh god how he wanted to punch them right now.

Summary
Diverges from chapter 13 to 17, wherein Buck and Eddie get together before Eddie accepts Bobby’s offer to join the 118, so he ends up at the 136 instead. When encountering each other on calls, they can’t help but flirt with each other. Only one small problem: Buck still hasn’t told anyone he’s married, let alone that he is dating Eddie, and Eddie told everyone he’s married, but forgot to mention he is married to Buck.
