    “No.” Achilles backed away from him, shaking his head like he could physically remove the truth from his shoulders. “No, no, no.”

    “Achilles.” Patroclus was, for the third time in his life, at a loss. He didn’t know how to take his hurt away, wasn’t sure it was even possible. He, again to reiterate, hadn’t expected this reaction. After Achilles left him that day, Patroclus had confidently believed he didn’t give a shit about him.

    Yet, here he was, two years later, pleading to a god he didn’t even fully believe in to tell him that this wasn’t real.

    Patroclus and Achilles are soulmates.

    Achilles doesn't find out until it's too late.

    Lois and Clark exchange a brief, wordless glance Jon knows too well. Clark finally rests a warm hand on Jon’s shoulder. “Six years.”
