Xie Lian never dated anyone. It wasn’t really a decision. When he was a teenager, he was to focus on his studies. Then, everything went down and he went deep into depression. After that, it was only surviving, until he reconnected with San Lang.
It wasn’t like a lot of people asked him out, anyway. He knew he wasn’t bad looking per say, but he didn’t put a lot of attention to his physical appearance. Years of isolation made it hard for him to talk with people. He never knew what to tell them, or what to say or not say.
He never really cared about any of that, and would have spent all his life with San Lang, unmated, by his side, only if Hua Cheng hadn't mention having a beloved... Now, Xie Lian had to find an alpha that wanted him. And quick !
OR : Xie Lian doesn't want to go back on being alone, but he fears that time is running out now that Hua Cheng has find someone. So he does the only logical thing and go on a date with an alpha he absolutely hates !
