Jiang Cheng’s face was visibly agitated as Nie Huaisang scanned the scroll over and over again in a futile attempt to make the words disappear.
What gave the Emperor—regardless of how enchanting his looks were rumored to be and his constant benevolence for the people—to instill the rules everyone at the palace was expected to follow?
This was uncalled for, and Wei Wuxian would not stand for it.
“Fuck the monarchy.”
Jiang Cheng took a break from looking constipated to nod his agreement and Nie Huaisang happily voiced his thoughts. “Yeah!”
