He walked to another box to arrange some stuff, until his eyes landed on one he could not recognize. Well, he could, but he never opened to see what it had inside. He remembered, when Bruce had kicked him out, fired him from being Robin, Dick had gone to his room in a fit of anger and felt like destroying just like he had when he had first arrived, but instead he had taken all his things and had fled to live off with the Titans.

Hesitantly, Dick removed the notebook from the box, and held it on his lap. This one was dusty, too. He turned the page. There was nothing written on the first one, nothing that said whether it was used as a diary or a recipe book or something else.
But when he turned another page, he was greeted with the writing he only saw in the fragments of his dreams. One that he wasn’t even sure was real, with how faded and surreal it seemed in his mind.

Clark stepped in front of him. “It’s not vandalism and you know it, detective.”
“And what makes you say that?”
“If it were vandalism it would be something a lot more juvenile. To the point. It wouldn’t claim there were seventeen missing kids. That’s public outcry.”
“Is that so?”
“That and I tried to do a story on the growing number of homeless children last month and I got shut down. According to the last count, the numbers have been decreasing, but there’s been no change in policies, no extra funding to CPS, or shelters, or even an increase in the number of inmates in the juvenile detention center. So where are they going?”
Detective Bruce Wayne may have the highest solve rate in Gotham, but if he wants to solve this case, he’ll need the help of an elusive street kid, and while Dick Grayson always lands on his feet, he usually lands himself right into trouble.
