Summary
Hwei, an ex-PROJECT employee turned independent augmentation installation expert, and sometimes slightly under-qualified doctor-mechanic hybrid, runs into a familiar face on his way home one rainy night: Jhin, a mechanical killer for hire. The two have been getting more acquainted these last few months, and the frequency of their meetings only seems to be increasing. Unfortunately, this latest visit is a slightly concerning one. Hwei, having grown numb to this world and its surprises, isn't worried. He helps Jhin, and reminisces on their past as he does so.

“Does this scream Khada Jhin, the Golden Demon to you?” Hwei teased, finally letting go of his chin. No reply came, but he saw Jhin’s eyes glare up to him in the mirror. At least he knew his theory was right. Jhin was human, he had his weaknesses. “I thought not. Yet here he is, so he must have a name, mustn't he?”

Summary
Viktor turns back to the window. The tree outside sways slightly in the wind. “I was just thinking about spring,” he says in lieu of moving like Jayce wants him to. He feels Jayce lean his weight against the sill.
“What about spring?”
Viktor gestures vaguely to his stomach, where the buttons of his shirt are starting to strain from the swell. “She’ll be born in spring, I suppose. If the midwife is right.”
He feels Jayce still, just the slightest bit. “She?”
“Ah…” Viktor hesitates, then shrugs. “No, I’m not sure yet. Just… feeling things out. I would love them either way.”
Jayce’s hands find his, warm fingers curling over Viktor’s knuckles. “So would I,” he says, voice soft and reverent. “I can’t wait for spring to come.”
A knot loosens in Viktor, and he exhales, something settling in his chest. He understands what Jayce means. I can’t wait to meet her.

Summary
Before returning to Viktor, Jayce reviewed evidence collected over the past three weeks. It was detective work, being an exorcist. Looking for clues to unveil the entities name. Demons are playful, tricksters, they leave clues to toy with your mind. But there was nothing. No trails, no clues, a silent spirit. However Jayce was persistent, stubborn, no matter how burned out he became he wouldn’t give up on Viktor.
Alternatively: Jayce is an exorcist, who is assigned a peculiar case to save a rather lonesome scientist.
TW: depictions of suicide, violence against animals.
