Summary
When a Shinigami preforms Konso on a soul it does more than just send that Soul to Soul Society.
It erases the memories of that Soul’s prior existence, leaving them with little more than their name. A blank slate.

Summary
In a surprising twist of fate, Ichigo’s Saigo No Getsuga Tensho faded too soon and Kisuke’s kido didn’t hit.
Aizen managed to kill everyone except Urahara Kisuke, who manages to escape thanks to Unohana Yachiru.
“Urahara!” Unohana barked. “Get out of here! Do whatever you need to in order to defeat him.”
Now, stuck with finding a way to defeat Aizen all by himself, Kisuke ended up looking through Kurotsuchi’s lab.
Stumbling across samples, Kisuke was shocked to find they contained the genetic/spiritual make up of several Captains and Lieutenants.
Using those samples and samples from his own lab, Urahara ended up creating children to send back in time to help defeat Aizen.
After all, Unohana did say to do whatever he needed to stop Aizen.
