Summary
It shouldn't have been possible, even if he did get head trauma, the sun should have healed him quickly. How was anyone to know that there was a type of kryptonite that would cause any kryptonian it came in contact with to slowly lose their memories, most recent first. By the time the justice gang had dispatched the villain, Clark had lost the last five years of his life, taking him back to right after Lex was arrested and the city was almost torn apart.

Summary
He would have done anything to get him back, anything; he had loved Clark more than anything. Loved him enough to do anything for him, including giving up his quest to destroy Superman, once he found out they were one and the same. They started working together to prevent wrongdoers, and things were good. They married and Clark was four months pregnant, and Lex had always known that Kryptonian males could carry children, the clone had allowed him to know, so they were ready prepared for when Clark found out.
Lex was happy; he loved Clark and their life together, and he was so excited to raise a family with him, so of course, that's when Clark died.

Lex Luthor had known for years exactly how and when he would die; it would be in his penthouse ten years after the rift closed, and it would be done by his own hand. His death would not be suicide. However, it would be done by his past self, who was on a quest to kill his husband, the one and only Clark Kent/Superman, or as the past self knew him to be Superman, he knew that he would die protecting Superman. Summary
Every person on earth gets a moment to talk to their future selves, it almost always comes when someone is at their lowest point and it only happens once. It's unknown how it happens but the why is pretty clear, give the hopeless hope, give them the strength to carry on at least one more day. Bucky's future version appeared with a flash and a slight bang as the older him fell to the floor. Bucky took the time to study him while the other him got his bearings and stood up, he looked good, happy.

In the 40s, omega slick was commonly used to give alphas fighting in the war a cutting edge, due to the heightened endurance and strength that came with rutting. Soon after World War Two ended, the practice was abolished as it could lead to addiction and dangerously long ruts.
Unfortunately, Steve never saw the end of the war. And now that he's been found in the ice, his body is still riddled with the aftereffects of an extended slick high.
