Summary
Everyone in this Monastery had had years to adapt to the change, to get used to it, to start living it. Jay had mere months, and those months had been spent trapped in his room. He hadn’t been gradually introduced to these changes, he hadn’t experienced things changing one by one.. He was thrown in at the deep end and he couldn’t swim. Instead, he was just a weight sinking right to the bottom.
And he sure felt like he was drowning.
OR
Months after getting his memories back, Jay is struggling to cope. Trying to act like things were normal, that they could be normal again, seemed to be his only way of keeping sane. Or so he thought..

He sat up with a groan. His ribs ached. His throat was dry.

Master Wu has managed to aquire invitations. The only problem is, it's for three married couples. They have to look the part in order to avoid suspicion.
Unfortunately, those three couples are all straight, man and woman couples. Three of the ninja have to dress up as women, which isn't a problem for Nya. Lloyd gets in on it too, for fear of being recognized. And the last one? Why it's Jay of course.

With a swooned voice, Cole spoke in a hushed tone, “Like what?”, and Jay could see stars shine in his eyes.
The lightning ninja nibbled on his bottom lip. “Like you're about to kiss me.”
While on the search for Master Wu, Jay and Cole stumble upon the latter’s hometown, so they crash at his father’s place. From their lack of discipline, they break into Lou Brookstone’s wine cupboard, and their dizziness sparks something more in their companionship.

Kai suddenly grabs his bag and phone, leaving his drink on the table, as he quickly leaves out the back door, pulling up Jay’s contact and calling him back. He walks outside, moving past a handful of dumpsters and arrives at a more isolated spot, usually where he’d go to smoke.
He waits rather impatiently, internally cursing himself each second that Jay doesn’t pick up. This is stupid, he thinks, but waits nonetheless.
