Summary
There was no riptide, there was no crashing of waves on curroaded rocks. There was no vow of Poseidon, there was no comparison to his beauty. Even at the height of sunset, when the sun catches the water, even the most well-crafted coral, even the mistress of the sea itself.
It was like a burn. The allure of threnodies told in whispers of roses and storm clouds, a sweet scent - floral, tranquil, soft. Like a garden, beautiful and endearing, despite the thorns that lay beneath the surface.
-There were no rose petals, there were no intricately carved castletops. There was no law of the Queen, there was no comparison to his beauty. Even at the height of sunset, when the sky echoed the church bells, even the most well-crafted rose, even the very personification of wonderland itself.
It was like a burn. The allure of threnodies told in whispers of aquamarine and twinkling starlight, an overwhelming scent - tropical, salty, cold. Like the beach at a sunset, the orange sky hidden behind winter clouds, bone chilling cold air concealing a lingering warmth.

Summary
Riddle’s mother wasn’t a bad person. She was strict, quick to anger, and didn’t always listen to others, but she wasn’t a bad person. She had reasons for what she did. No matter what, in the end, Riddle could understand it.
And if anything…worse than usual happened, then all Riddle had to do was wait. Eventually, everything would go back to normal.
So when she adds a strange addition to the drawing room, Riddle tries his best not to worry. But all his efforts turn out to be for nothing when he sees the finished product.
Because his mother has boughten a person, and suddenly nothing is normal ever again.
Riddle’s life spirals down a path of old memories and new realizations as he does whatever he can to try and fix things for his family, and more importantly- the mer his mother has imprisoned.

"Goldfish? Goldfish? Spit it out!" Floyd cupped the redhead's cheeks and pried his mouth open. "Spit it out! Bad Goldfish! Bad!" With a soft smack, the offending mushroom flew out of the shorter male's mouth and fell onto the floor.
