Summary
Laurie Strode doesn't recognise herself anymore. Death follows in her wake, more often than not wearing a pale, emotionless mask. It slaughters the others dragged into the Fog with her again and again, and she is helpless to watch.
Paranoia, guilt, fear. This is what feels natural to her now - what needs to be, she thinks, if she's to survive. She lingers on the edge of the campfire, away from everyone else. Her hands shake as she awaits another trial. Some distance away, the fire continues to burn.
Then, the sound of animated chatter. A newcomer - a survivor, who brings with her the art of song and music. It's a welcome respite from the trials, the endless pain and suffering. Kate Denson even leaves a mark on Laurie, one that Laurie refuses to acknowledge, even as the mark begins to grow and the walls she's built begin tumbling down. Throughout it all, she wonders how someone, a Songbird, she thinks, can be so aloft, happy, full of hope, even in their horrifying circumstances.
Laurie learns, quickly, that the Fog can break down even the most hopeful of people, all according to the Entity's design.

Summary

Caitlyn panicked, feeling extraordinarily unprepared having been thrust into her new position without so much as even a handbook to consult. What were the formalities? What was she supposed to respond with? Where was the damn push to talk button…
“Hellooo? I said Houston, do you copy?”
Caitlyn fiddled with her headset, having finally found the green button on the side and hastily letting out a rather breathless reply. “Um, yes. Hello? This is Houston. I copy.”
There was a long pause in which Caitlyn sat twiddling her thumbs, anxiety pushing the frantic pulse of her heartbeat through her eardrums. Was that wrong? Did she already fuck up? She took a steady deep breath, finger hovering over the talk button until the familiar voice of the astronaut came through her headset once more.
“Damn, Houston. I didn’t expect you to sound so sexy.”
OR
Caitlyn has been assigned as the personal capcom to one of the astronauts currently on a year long expedition at the international space station. Cue long months of pining and desperate longing.

“Caitlyn,” she says. That isn’t right. That wasn’t the answer Vi was after. Names are easily given away but so seldomly remembered in Stillwater, but it echoes in Vi’s head. She almost doesn’t hear the actual answer. “And though I have no doubt a thousand people have given this answer before, I did nothing. I was doing my job, and then I was here. No trial. No sentencing. No crime to speak of.”

Summary
According to Cooper Howard, Westworld is nothing more than Vault-Tec's own private oasis of spyware and data collection. Unfortunately for him, the director of his latest Western has decided it's also the perfect, ready-built location for shooting. Even better -- says the director -- the park's androids will function as built-in extras and stuntmen.
Cooper is less than thrilled with these developments, but the contracts have been signed and he's got alimony to pay. The worst part? They've decided the big draw will be a love interest portrayed by an android. He may be a star of stage and screen, but he's beginning to think pretending he can stand his inhuman costar is going to be the toughest role of his life.
