Summary
Evan Afton wakes up about four decades after his death.
The first thing he notices is that Cassidy is gone, and all he can hear is the sound of his own thoughts. "Cass- Cassidy?" He croaks, his voice grating to his own ears. His throat feels like someone just used a cheese grater on it. His limbs felt oddly light, and when he lifted his hand up to inspect it he saw a small, flesh-covered hand. Scrambling, he backs up against a wall, and outstretching his hands, he traces his veins with his eyes, absolutely baffled.
Either this is a dream, or Evan is suddenly present enough in his own mind to go insane.

“An ice cream truck parked at the curb serves a little boy with dark hair a cone of strawberry ice cream. He slides a few dollars over the counter on his tiptoes and scampers off, not a parent in sight.
He looks like David, Vanessa thinks, but she’s never heard that name before.
Vanessa looks at Gregory and orders herself an ice cream cone. She gets him a popsicle that looks like Fredbear.
He loves that bear.One of the gum-ball eyes is lower than the other and the smile looks more like a grimace. Wordlessly, she hands it to Gregory. He doesn’t look it, just inspects it suspiciously like a puzzle he can’t solve.
Vanessa pays and starts walking to
herthe house.’I know this one,’ Gregory says, squinting at the popsicle. Peering down at Freddy in the duffle bag, he asks, ‘Were you ever yellow?’”

Summary
Luke would never forget the cold halls of the imperial ships. The way despair seemed to leak from every crevice. The cold echo of storm trooper’s boots and the fear they brought with them. It would all haunt him for the rest of his life. Even now just at the mention of returning to one of those ships filled Luke with fear so strong he felt his hands start to tremble and he thought his knees might give out. He folded his hands behind his back to hide the shake and took a deep breath to try and will away the bundle of anxiety in his stomach.
Luke does not return from a mission and is now in the hands of what remains of the empire. He's all but given up on getting out when a mandalorian comes to his rescue.
