Summary
In the hay loft of an old barn, two lost boys find each other.
The first time, they’re children, with their fathers’ bruises on their bodies and a connection that wasn’t meant to be.
A decade later, the bruises have solidified, sunk into their bones. Dean carries it like a thin veneer of devil-may-care charm, using it as a shield from anything too real spilling out. In Cas it swirls as a smoky darkness under the white shirt and silver cross of being the pastor’s son.
Their connection still isn’t meant to be, but Dean can’t stay away, even if the friendship threatens to destroy both of them.

Summary
Dean has never been great at feeling his feelings. Doesn’t particularly want to, thank you very much. That’s where the coke comes in handy. And Cas. Cas has the drugs, Dean has the money (most of the time. Or, well… some of the time at least). One thing about Cas, though? He’s willing to barter.

Summary
They’ve been texting for weeks and Cas is more than ready to meet in person. Until Dean tries to cancel their date because of insubstantial reasons like not having time to go home to clean up after work. Cas considers it very much a non-issue. Even more so when Dean turns up looking… like that.

Summary
Cas is in town to deal with the fledgling unionization that's taking place at the factory. It should be a cut-and-dried case. There shouldn't be any need to return. Definitely not to a dingy diner for a man who's married.
But Dean's husband is awful and Dean is the first person in a long, long time that Cas has wanted to let in.
So once Dean expresses interest, Cas finds his sense of decency crumbling. Even more so when Dean's carefree facade starts cracking whenever the two of them are alone.

The glimpse he gets into Dean's difficult life as a 15 year old is more than he bargained for, and he and Dean have a lot to talk (and think) about when he gets back to 2009. Will the things he saw drive them apart, or push them closer together? (take a wild guess ;) )
