He came to me when he was no younger than a boy.
Draped in moss and azaleas, the child came from across the sea, heralded to Pixandria on the finest ship in the Mezalean fleet. When the vessel docked, I saw him atop the ships deck, nearly covered in the greenery of his kingdom. Beside him, the human guards towered over him, dressed in shades of green and magenta. The simple gold crown atop his head shimmered in the light, beads of jewels missing from their spots. His head was lowered, the crown's weight clearly foreign to him.
He was younger than any Mezalean ruler before him.
