Summary
Something happens that makes Arthur realize magic isn't all bad far sooner than in canon. Merlin decides to push Arthur in that direction and actively changes both of their fates. Together they intend to build a peaceful kingdom but getting there requires them to play a cunning and dangerous game. After all, who is to say what is more villainous; destroying ones fathers' legacy or turning a blind eye on the suffering of an innocent people. Between moral and lifes at stake, they grow to trust eachother above all else. Though when secrets are revealed that very trust may suffer.
