Summary
As a child Merlin had always loved the Winter Solstice. He loved the big feast the whole village would work to create and the beautiful lights coming from the candles they lit. Years later in Camelot, Merlin cant help but reminisce on a simpler times. As he stands alone in a more quiet tower of the castle he looks out towards Camelot holding his lonely candle. Well not entirely lonely.

The Magnus Institute is calm, safe, interesting for the curious minds of the Baudelaires and, most importantly, far away from the US and Count Olaf. The children quickly discover the Archives and the unique people who work there - so, however, does their enemy.
