He paused, the heavy speech still hanging loosely across Rudy's shoulders like rope.
“I can’t lose you to this, Rudy. I can’t.” Alejandro pleads. “If I have the chance to make sure that you return to who you are - not the hollowed out version of you that rose from that fire - I’ve got to take that risk."

Если вспоминать о том что Руди помнил слишком хорошо. То не думая ответил бы про провонявший сигаретами дом, маму которая спокойно делала дела по дому и отца который гладил его по волосам, пока Руди делал домашние задание. К сожалению лица отца ни разу не запомнил, но по рассказам мамы, Руди был всегда похож на него. Зато Родольфо на всю жизнь запомнил смерть отца, но они продолжили жить как раньше. Правда лишь с тем минусом что мама Луиса теперь работала не только на одной своей работе, но и на других.

I had to use translate function on my phone but GOD DAMN Rudy spreading himself thin, keeping people at arms length, even Alejandro. The fact he tries to be so kind but always distant, loving at a distance. I love the Angel of Death title for Rudy having to mask the pain as he delivers letters to the families of the dead. The breaking points of his facade being the death of Carlos, his mother, then Rodriguez, he can't go on like this. I personally want my boy happy in a world this fucked up.
Normally I prefer having Ale & Rudy be childhood friends but this is also great! Rudy being in love the moment they met. I honestly kind of hate Alejandro for declining his resignation. I know it's supposed to be like this but it feels wrong. Though it does hurt good. May wanna take some pointers from this in my own story...
