Caitlyn’s good eye finds Vi across the room, leaning casually back against a carved pillar. The light catches on her pink hair, glinting off the curve of her grin as she laughs at something just out of earshot.
Standing far too close—and clearly enjoying it—is Camille Ferros, draped in emerald silk, golden chains catching the light at her collarbones. She’s poised, witty, overtly tactile, and much too focused on Vi for Caitlyn’s liking.
It isn’t insecurity that flares inside her, but something low and electric; a crackling thrum of possessiveness.

Vi had wanted to see Caitlyn on the dancefloor far longer than she wanted to admit. She had found herself more than once wondering what Caitlyn would really be like under those strobing lights, not just the cheap imitation that Vi’s imagination had come up with.
She hadn’t, for example, imagined her wearing a dress that had no discernable difference from the silky nightgowns she sometimes wore to bed, except perhaps that it was even tighter.

"Please, what?" she whispered, letting her lips turn into a small mocking smile, but who was she kidding? She was in the same boat as Caitlyn, wanting to fall for whatever it was that they were both building.
"Just come here and kiss me you idiot." those words finally leaving Caitlyn's lips.

Vi can't help herself. She's wanted to kiss Caitlyn since the cab ride over this morning, and she can't handle being slightly drunk and frustrated and turned on, and still expect herself to have any sort of restraint when Caitlyn's mouth is right there. So she pulls her in and Caitlyn does absolutely nothing to fight it, just falls against Vi and kisses her for so long that the bartender has to threaten to kick them out just for them to stop.
