“If you decide to head home, we can give you a ride. Mike’s coming to pick me up in…” he checked his watch, “about an hour. We could all go together. Maybe watch a movie? We could try to get Dustin to join us. Like old times.”
He smiled faintly, though his voice wavered. “Mike and I have been doing game nights, movie marathons, sleepovers… I know it’s silly, but it helps. Makes us feel better... Make me feel normal”
“I don’t know…” he said teasingly. “Wouldn’t want to get in the way of one of your dates with Mike.”
Will’s eyes went wide, and a soft, almost nervous laugh escaped him.
“I wish…” Will murmur under his breath.Then he froze. His smile faltered; his jaw clenched. Lucas stared at him, startled. That wasn’t the response he’d expected.

“Yeah. I guess I did. I really did,” Will’s eyes are full of tears, but no way in hell is he letting Mike see that. He gets on his bike and pedals as fast as he can. Behind him, he can hear Mike calling his name, but he ignores him, tears and rain blending on his face.
It’s not your fault I don’t like girls, Mike, but you have never made it easier.
Will has never hated him more, but he still doesn’t love him any less. God knows he’s tried.

Will’s about to follow them when a familiar laugh collides with his ears. A split second later, an equally familiar shock of red hair literally collides with Will’s body, brunette following suit.“Hey watch i—” Max begins but then she pauses, pushing red sunglasses down her nose in shock. “Will?”
