Summary
Roses are viscera red...
Scarecrow is a man who cultivates fear as his chief crop, and this desolate township farm, far from the violently vibrant Valentine's Day festivities in Gotham, is his natural habitat.
...Violets are bruise blue...
Tonight he will study Gotham’s mysterious protector. While nobody knows what the nightmarish creature actually is, Scarecrow knows all that matters: the Batman can feel fear.
...I'm terrified, and you should be too.
A little tough love, a stripping bare of pretense. Pearly fangs, a lashing tail, wings darker than a black hole; Batman is a being of terror, and Scarecrow intends to show him what that terror feels like.Series

Summary
An in-depth guide of the comicbook version of Jervis Tetch (AKA the Mad Hatter), his actions and characterizations throughout the course of DC Comics' Pre-Crisis and Post-Crisis continuities, backed up with specific evidence from canon. My aim is to keep speculation at a minimum, though things like his motivation behind certain actions may be inferred based on his previous behavior and context clues.
This is a work of non-fiction, structured to function as a general reference. Warnings for descriptions and direct quotes of canon, which include sensitive topics such as violence, sexual content, outdated medical terms, references to and threats of sexual assault, drug use, mild body horror, among others.
Update: added a list of his post-New 52 appearances.

Summary
“No, you crave the touch as much as you fear it. Fear of intimacy, likely linked to fear of abandonment.” He sighed wistfully. “Who left you? Were they ripped from you, or did they just get tired of how abrasive you can be?”
Scarecrow’s latest formula unearths an interesting fear in his greatest foe. Obviously, further research is needed!
Or: in which two fear experts realize just how terrifying (and rewarding) emotional vulnerability can be.

Summary
Soundwave found himself amused with Starscream’s deflection. It seemed in his tiredness, his typical insults became softened. That being said, Soundwave noted it was well into Starscream’s scheduled recharge slot. It wasn’t often the seeker was roaming about at this hour.

Summary
“Starscream: Clown.”
A quiet, for perhaps the first time since they had sat down, echoed through the meeting room. Soundwave looked up from the data drive to see Starscream mulling over the word with a slight frown.
The seeker narrowed his optics, wings flared in agitation. His field was radiating suspicion and defense. “What the frag is a clown?”

Bookmarker's Notes
♡ Certifiable Clownery! Soundwave makes his first joke ever and things spiral wildly and now about a third of the cast thinks he’s courting Starscream (another third actually knows what a clown is, and the rest is just generally confused). ♡
There was half a thought of alerting Megatron of this, but the scientist dismissed it. Let the Second and the Third dance in their folly, their failure would ultimately be a win for Shockwave. And if nothing came of it and things remained as usual, that was also fine by him.
It still didn’t change his processor that the two of them together would be terrifying but… two old, sad sparks finding each other. That could almost be sweet. In a way. Almost .

Summary
There are some great quick-and-dirty guides to HTML on A03. This is not one of them - it is a comprehensive guide
It's now 2025, a decade later. A03 supports some new HTML and and we're all walking around reading fic on supercomputers that fit in a jean pocket. It was time update this and take a crack at finishing it. (Links and Images are in, the new Audio and Video tags are not.)
The previous three chapters have been divided into smaller concepts. Each tag continues to have - at a minimum - a link to the w3schools page about it (so you can learn more), a code example, and the result of the code example. Most tags have their attributes, things like [src] or [title], listed and examples of how using the attributes modify the tags.
There's a chapter on Bad Ideas, including how some of the archive's default CSS is available to you to format your work (users can't turn that off by hiding a workskin!)
Oh. And I added a bunny army. You could learn how to add one too.
