As Ash took a look around the current area Mallow proposed a small tour of the school, maybe he'd notice his mother somewhere. So he agreed and he and Mallow set off. They walked all around the campus, Mallow pointed out so many interesting things. Eventually, they had gone pretty much everywhere.
"Damn. Still no mom," Ash sighed as they walked to their last stop.
"I'm sure you'll find her soon," Mallow said before turning and knocking on a door, "Principal Oak? I've brought a new student."
"Wait what? I'm not-"
Inside the room there was... his mom.

"Well that's a morbid thought," Link laughed slightly, as he tried to lighten the air again. They all knew what Zelda was trying to say. She wanted to see if she could find any remnants of the Champions. It was a fair thing to ask for. No one had been able to check for those hundred years. If it could give her just the littlest bit of relief it was worth it.

Knuckles has always had an unexplainable and mystical connection with the very thing that he had been brought up to protect. The Master Emerald was unknown, extremely powerful, a thing of legends and tales.
It was also inhuman, sentient but not aware. Omnipresent. Powerful in the way a god looks down upon a small bug. Yet benevolent. Caring.
The Guardian had been created to protect her, watch over her. Keep the balance of the world and its power. Raised into the role he'd been destined to always have.
Her Guardian was a part of chaos itself. A fractel of the Master.
So where did the Master Emerald truly end, and Knuckles the Echidna begin?
