Summary
Vice, fortune, a yearslong illusion of a lucky streak: that was Tom Riddle’s reality. He was a famous actor now; that’s just how they lived.
He ignored how his father, Albus Dumbledore, acted all disappointed on his behavior despite keeping secrets from him. He ignored the ways he was forcing himself into the cultivation of an image, and the ways he’d already ruined said image with his very public struggle with drug addiction. He ignored the nightmares of his biological father and that fateful night.
And, most of all, he ignored how he had sabotaged his relationship with a prodigy violinist, the only person to ever fully understand him, by leaving him stranded just as things had started to go beyond friendship.
Especially as said violinist, Harry Potter-Black, was suddenly back in his life, now as the composer to Tom’s latest movie, the one being heralded by the media as his “last chance at redemption in the public eye.”
He was Tom Riddle, after all—he didn’t need anyone.

Summary
When Harry fights Tom in the Chamber of Secrets, one of Tom’s spells goes wrong and they accidentally form a magical bond. Tom now suddenly finds himself on the verge of dying alongside Harry under the basilisk poison. Not wanting to die, Tom grudgingly decides to help Harry survive – at least until he manages to cancel the bond.
They’re still stuck with each other in the following years, and when Tom is forced to help Harry with the various challenges he faces each year, they find themselves growing not only literally but also emotionally attached.
