  1. Summary

The upsetting and cross-generational tragedy of a spacefaring royal family is all well and good when you aren’t the inheritor of your entire family’s successes and failures.

Starstruck is a study in relationships on a galactic scale to explore how trauma doesn’t automatically make terrible choices the right ones. An ongoing exploration of how politics, relationships, and cross-generational trauma all fit together to create a cohesive mess, and then seeing how the people left behind pick up the pieces and carry on.

It all starts in the halcyon days of Prince Velahnhiris Vaevyr.

  2. Summary

Bayverse. A series following Sunstreaker's sudden band of misfits on their coincidental jaunt towards Earth as he juggles actually being responsible with the urge to be literally anything but, and the desire to find Sideswipe.
No one ever said being responsible was this hard. Sunstreaker wanted his damned credits back.

    Summary

"I bet you could cook eggs with your bare hands!"

"Do you want to hold a raw egg?"

"But the point is it won't be raw when you're finished holding it!"

(this started off as a cracky concept but it took a turn for the angst, so fair warning there)

When Fuyumi said she wanted her brother in her life, she meant it.

The thing about Touya these days?

He's kind of a package deal.

    Summary

"The battle that had been taking place between some Hero and some Villain had moved right in front of him. Some Hero. No, not just some Hero, he was forced to acknowledge as his feet stilled and he had to lean his hand on a nearby wall for support. In full battle costume, still working hard despite the late hour, shining like some distant star he couldn’t reach not even if he were to try his hardest, Flame Hero: Endeavour, eternal Number Two in the Hero ranking, was staring down at some foe, hardly judging him, a mere bystander, worth of more than a quick glance from the corner of his eye, before dismissing him entirely to focus back on his opponent. Quite a contrast with how he, who was nothing else but a meaningless, sopping wet, dark shadow in a dark alley, just couldn’t tear his eyes off the man, as if nothing else mattered in that moment, as if he couldn’t see anything else, as if he couldn’t care about anything else. It had been six years. It could have been yesterday as well. Nothing had changed. Nothing would ever change. Nothing."

(or... what if Endeavor and Tōya were to meet before the series started?)

    Bookmarker's Notes

“You were right... in the end it had just been cruel toward him...”

It had been but... once Natsuo and, especially, once Shōto had been born... Rei hadn’t wanted to think at that anymore. Because acknowledging that giving birth to Shōto, the child with the perfect Quirk, had been cruel to Tōya, was at the same time meaning Shōto’s mere existence hurt her oldest and that, in order for Tōya not to be hurt, Shōto shouldn’t exist and Rei... Rei couldn’t bear the mere thought. She loved Tōya... but she loved Shōto too and Shōto was innocent. She couldn’t undo Shōto’s existence and she wouldn’t even consider doing so, she couldn’t bear the idea of doing so therefore she... she had wanted Tōya to just accept it because it was done and it couldn’t be undone and she didn’t want it to be undone and Tōya should have just given up, accepted it and loved his new baby brother as if nothing was wrong because Shōto had no fault in this and deserved to be loved.

In the end though... she was to blame as much as her husband was.

Despite her words... she hadn’t actively tried to stop her husband from having more babies from her and, despite knowing those babies would hurt her firstborn, once they came to life... she had just hid her head in the sand, she had just longed for him to accept them despite everything, shrug away the hurt because she loved said babies and she wanted him to love them as well.

How much should it have hurt... to have his mother dismiss his feelings of pain and demand for him to love what hurt him? How much?

    Summary

Danny stretched out as far as he could into the grass. “My mom cleans houses and she says that the ones who pay really well always have, like, a jug of water in the fridge. Not bottles or anything. Just a glass pitcher. Like for flowers.”

The redhead nodded. “And high ceilings! I think it’s so they can fit more balloons in when they throw parties.”

    A girl scoffed. “That’s dumb.”

“I bet their clothes are really warm,” Danny said loudly. “And the minute their power gets shut off, they call the people right away to get it back on. And their shoes always fit, ‘cause if they don’t, then they just get new ones.” He dug his fingers into the dirt. “And there’s always food in the fridge and they all have pet dogs.”

Neal felt his own cheeks redden. It made his insides squirm, knowing that Peter and Diana and Jones were seeing all of this. He could just imagine them comparing the words the kid on the ground said with his present day behaviors, matching cause with effect like pairs of playing cards.

or, an artifact the team comes across sends them hurtling back into their own memories, and it's especially sensitive to Neal.

    Summary

    “I’m not Neal.”

Peter nearly bit off his own tongue with how quickly he cut himself off. “What?”

The copy of Neal Caffrey flicked the safety back onto his gun. He set it on the floor, not particularly far away from him, but not within easy distance either. Slowly, he reached into his jacket pocket and pulled something out. It was small and shiny, the kind of trinket that Neal loved to fiddle with during debriefs. After it was out for a few seconds, the man tossed it toward Peter.

He caught it. It was a CIA badge.

“Believe it or not, this isn’t the first mix-up we’ve had,” the agent said, cracking a wry smile. “Now, if you’d be so kind as to trade me your badge, I think we’ll all be able to talk this out pretty easily.”

“You look just like him,” he said dumbly.

The agent shrugged, looking up from where he’d been examining the badge. “Yeah, that’s something that can happen with twins.”

or, Neal's identical twin is a CIA agent. It sure would've been nice to know that before they, in no particular order, nearly caused a CIA-FBI shootout, traumatized a new probie, started a food fight in the nicest restaurant in the city, and unwittingly switched places in the middle of a mission
