Summary
This is a shift in the White Collar series.
Neal is much younger - only thirteen. He's a criminal prodigy.
He is arrested and taken for questioning, when he suddenly feels lightheaded. Peter hurries to get him food, then calls CPS. He feels a surge of protectiveness towards the "criminal" he arrested.
Neal is sentenced to the most secure juvenile facility, which happens to house many violent criminals and is run by a warden who believes in absolute obedience and constant fear. He is beaten constantly by the guards and other inmates, and there are attempts to do worse.
Soon, Peter receives a call that Neal wants to meet him. Neal, a shadow of his old self, offers to help Peter on cases. The warden is very keen on getting Neal out of the facility. After a lot of discussions, Neal is given a security anklet and handed over to Peter. Peter and his wife Elizabeth will be taking care of Neal under the same regulations foster parents have.
Neal is broken and always looks haunted. He flinches at loud noises and struggles at the bureau and at school.
Will Neal ever recover?

Summary
Everything Merlin has ever been told regarding himself, Arthur, and Destiny is thrown into chaos when a routine patrol sees the return of Merlin's greatest fear right into the heart of Camelot: Mordred, the druid destined to slay the one whom Merlin holds most dear, prophecised as "Arthur's Bane".
Between Kilgharrah's warnings and Morgana's nightmares, portents of prophecy have grown overwhelmingly since Mordred came to court, invited to become one of Arthur's very own knights...
...as soon as he can see over a training shield and hold up a pike instead of dragging it, that is.
For, rather embarassingly, Mordred's returning to Arthur and Merlin's lives seems to have happened... somewhat earlier than expected. It's a lot more difficult to harden your heart against your sworn nemesis, magical kin they may be, when said nemesis looks up to you and has decided you're their new big brother, after all.

Summary
Spider-Man is really Spider-Girl but she pretends to be a boy to make sure her identity is well protected. She sparks more interest than she thought she would when SHIELD comes knocking on her door asking her to be apart of the Avengers. She also may or may not have a thing for Mr. Stark's intern Harley Keener which makes things even more complicated.

Summary
In hindsight he knows that he saw this coming. He recognised the signs with more than enough time to have alerted May, or anyone on what he knew was progressing. But in the end, he just really wanted it to not be true. Just to be a figment of his paranoid over-reactive teenage mind, conjuring up the worst possible scenario. Maybe he had just seen it so much out on the streets as Spiderman that he was bringing it home with him, still seeing the darkness in those kinds of people's eyes… in the way they moved and spoke. Or maybe he had just assumed that the blearing alarms of his spider-sense from the moment he shook hands with the guy was just aftershocks of the armed robbery he had just wrapped up only moments ago.
Hindsight can be a real bitch sometimes.
