“You don’t get it,” Dazai said, interrupting him mid-apology. “That’s never happened to me. That doesn’t happen to me. There has to be some other explanation because I’m not like that.” Kunikida pauses and looks at him with something like pity.
“Not like what?” And Dazai loathes the way that Kunikida says those words, all soft around the edges like he’s talking to some traumatized civilian who got caught up in something they weren’t supposed to.
“You know what I mean,” Dazai insists, pushing himself up to stand at his full height. “I’m not like that.”
Not human. Not built so softly that he was traumatized by his upbringing. Not made of glass or porcelain. Not a thing to be handled delicately. Not someone who was undeserving of what came upon him.

5+1 of Dazai learning that growing up in the mafia does in fact have some adverse effects and no, supressing your trauma does not make it go away.

Summary
Dazai has never allowed himself to get his ass handed to him this badly. In fact, he would almost seem unnaturally put-together after each mission— with minimal injuries, no dirt, little sweat since he doesn’t exert any physical effort unless his suicidal fantasies depended on it.
Which made sense: He hated pain, thus avoided any relation to it.
At least Chuuya thought so.
Now he is faced with the ever-baffling dilemma of Dazai seeking pain. And beyond that, seeking it to protect Chuuya from it.
Did he land in the wrong universe?
OR: Dazai has a tendency to get captured as part of the plan, and this time, when he decides to rope Chuuya into it, things go a little off-kilter.

“You can sleep in here,” Chuuya calls out, back facing him as he exits the room. “You know where the blankets and shit are but I better see your ass gone in the morning, got it?” Dazai feels a bit of liquid falling into his lap and stiffens a bit in shock. He hadn’t even realized he was crying. “Dazai?”
This time, Chuuya takes a glance back and Dazai doesn’t have time to hide himself before Chuuya’s already seen him and frozen.

It took Chuuya about six hours to get to the top of Mount Omaru safely. Why was he climbing the 156 metre tall mountain.
To kidnap the youngest son of the Tsushima family– The golden boy who was inevitably going to be forced into the Port Mafia by the family, being the only one of the siblings with a special ability.
What led Chuuya to this point was slightly confusing.
