Summary
Sonic went from one prison (of metal and cruel tauntings, of an enemy who knows him better than anyone) to another (saved, only to find himself in a cell of concern and a lack of trust by those he calls friends), and no one seems to understand why he can't breathe.
It takes him two weeks.
Then he snaps.
(Or: Sonic the Hedgehog has been held captive for six months. Thing is, he refuses to stay on the sidelines in a war that started with his supposed death.
It's a shame no one quite realized that 'hero' wasn't just a thing the masses called him.)

Mr. Sonic always had the best lullabies, after all.

AU wherein a much younger Sonic finds Shadow and accidentally frees him…and that’s how Shadow finds a little blue hoglet that somehow becomes his kid despite everything against it, including Shadow himself struggling with it. Oh and there is still the Professor’s revenge plan programmed in Shadow’s head so he is after revenge and dragging Sonic and the others along.
